Spinoff to the 'how much do you' thread.

I'm guilty of this...is anyone else, or am I a lone weirdo? (Which is completely possible)

I often look in other people's shopping carts and wonder about them.

Like yesterday, this superfit looking girl was shopping, and I looked to see what was in her cart and everything was - no lie - those prepared microwaveable foods...like the Chef Boyardee stuff, those Healthy Choice bowl things, ramen, that kinda thing. So then I start wondering if it's for her and she eats that stuff all the time and seems to be fit (who knows what's going on inside though) or maybe she's buying it for someone else or a shelter or something.

I always do this. I also do something like this at airports...I just wonder about people, and if they're traveling for fun reasons or because of something bad going on within their family...

It's really only these two places though - supermarkets and airports. I never really observe people on the subway, or in Target, or well, pretty much anywhere else.

I love to observe what strangers eat. I'm always looking at other peoples carts and thinking hm.... it looks like they are having a barbeque... or do those people have kids at home or are do they eat those items themselves?? i have all sorts of thoughts!!

and in airports, I love to make up scenarios in my head of where people are coming and going and why. It's hard NOT to think about it.

lol im totally guilty of the supermarket!! but i HATE when ppl make comments about the stuff i buy


oh.. and i hate when im on the phone and i walk away with some1 elses cart. SOOO embarasssing

I am constantly wondering about other people...what happened in their day that caused them to end up at the same spot as me at the same time as me, whether or not they are happy, what they are thinking, where they are going...nosy nosy nosy

omg this post is hysterical but i do that sometimes in teh supermarket too.
i hate when i have to buy random ingredients to 2-3 recipes thought because i always feel like people are looking at me like 'what in gods name is she buying?'

i also do it when i drive on parkways and stuff...i'll always wonder what the person in the car next to me's life is like

omg, I FEAR THIS . in fact, i put all of my healthiest stuff on top of my groceries just in case people are peaking in my cart! not like i get too much junk...still.

I do this when driving too...i wonder where are they going...sometimes I would do that on the subway too.

I dont ever do that. But i have had many people comment on my foo dcart. Oh you buy all organic isnt that so expensive. But at least yoru healthy. blah blah MYOB! Geez Sorry it annoys me. Y do u care what i spend?

I get very paranoid when I go food shopping because there are lots of ww members from the meeting that I work that shop at the supermarket that I go to and I've seen them there. Since my cart is very mixed with healthy stuff and unhealthy junk for DH because he loves it, I get very paranoid when I see them that they are judging me

This is sooooooo me. I hate food shopping and only get microwave stuff for the days when Dh is working.

OMG I totally do that. And then I look at my own cart and wonder what people are wondering about me. Like yesterday, I went to the supermarket and bought:

A bag of Friskies 'Indoor Delights'
A wheel of Gouda cheese.

Let's just absorb that for a moment.

I swear the cashier was like 'what the eff is wrong with you, lady? who the hell married you?'



and those of you that know me IRL, i'm sure you're not surprised by my 'groceries'

Haha...I do this all the time especially if it's someone who looked really fit. I watch what I eat the majority of the time so I am always looking for different ideas. When I worked at a grocery store I would always observe people's groceries. I think in general though, I am a people watcher....anddddddd I sound totally creepy

Haha I do this at supermarkets, airports, while driving, while at the gym, on the subway, and while shopping at the mall..

I always look around at restaurants. Not so much the grocery store although now I'm sure I will after reading this. I always want to see what other people are eating before I can order. All the time when I am walking to my seat in a restaurant and stare at every table. I am also guilty of eavesdropping in restaurants and wanting to hear what other people are talking about.

I also do this in airports I always try and guess where people are going as they are walking to their terminal based on what they are carrying, are they alone, with a family... etc.
