I have a bizarre situation working with family (I'm looking to get out ASAP!) but I jut wanted to say I'm sorry...that totally stinks! I HATE getting reprimanded for anything (I'm a baby, I'll admit it) and taking all the blame for something that should be shared sucks.

Believe me, I don't want to take anyone down in flames with me that doesn't deserve it, but when you look at all the facts of the situation, there was a team slip up and I'm getting the brunt of it. But then again... everyone needs a scapegoat, right?

Nope that's WRONG. Your boss, who is higher up and should be held to a higher standard, told you to send it out. Yes, you forgot to include the VP on the previous revisions e-mails, but that's the whole point of double checking with your boss. She's supposed to double check it and make sure everything is in order. If someone wasn't included, she should've sent you back an e-mail saying 'Show these revisions to so-and-so and if she's good, then you can send it out.'

If it makes you feel any better, my boss would do the same thing, throw me under the bus.
