this is a bit pathetic but made me sad ...

just saw i had an event invitation on FB to see Saw 3D on the friday before halloween ....

it's from DH - but he never spoke to me about this before actually setting it up.

i just feel really sad that he made plans without even consulting me (if he spoke to me about it first, i'd have no problem)






UPDATE:
so DH apologized profusely last night ... apparently, he could've sworn we did talk about it men!

Sorry i dont get why your mad about this? I mean maybe he thought it was cute to do it through an event invite & suprise you? Or whatever. I mean he took initiative to set up something. Y is that bad? Is it because you cant go? Because if so then i can understand. But if it doesnt intrude on other plans or whatever y is it bad that he made his way to set up something???

if its an actual event for multiple people and and dh was in charge... i'd be pissed off...

Was the event blasted to a bunch of people or just you? If just you than I think thats adorable - a way to surprise you with a date thats already planned. I would love if DH did that.

I have to agree

Besides, I make plans for FH all the time and don't tell him right away. I could never get mad over that I would be the biggest hypocrite ever!

The problem was that he knows i wouldn't go (i don't like scary movies) and i was offended that he'd make plans before talking to me about it. It just made me feel like we were both single and he didn't care about me.

i would have been fine if he spoke to me about it in advance (before sending the invite out to 50 of our friends) and would have told him to have fun or whatnot.

Anyway, I spoke to DH last night about it ... he was really really sorry .... apparently, he thought we did talk about it .... so i forgave him .... but he's still an idiot

I wish DH would make plans sometimes, even if it was without me. He never does. I do that to him all the time though because he overthinks everything. My dad does that to my mom too. My mom just expects it and it keeps him happy. They have been married over 39 years and its always been that way. I think its ok.

I totally understand where you're coming from. Most of the time I'm the one that makes the big plans for us. I run it by him first and then coordinate with everyone else. If he all of a sudden decided to make a plan involving lots of people w/o even mentioning it to me, I would be weirded out too! Especially if it was for a scary movie that he knows I can't watch
