very very random, condensed tomato soup
i thought i was being a good wife and bought a few cans of this for DH because he was sick. turns out i bought the wrong one (duh jess, only creamy tomato
) and i despise tomato soup. does anyone have any recipes or ideas as to what i can do with these cans of soup now? i know theres a tomato soup cake you can make but i'd rather not have sweets in the house right before we leave for vegas.

Prepare it with milk instead of water and it will be very creamy especially if you use whole milk.

Yes--do this exactly and it'll be creamy! It should actually say this on the can itself.

Re: very very random, condensed tomato soup
DH cooks a flank steak in canned tomato soup on the stove top- it sounds so weird but it's an old family recipe of his and it's actually quite tastysimilar to the meatloaf recipe I left a min ago, just cook the flank steak with the soup on low heat with a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan and cover; takes about 1/2 I think maybe longer. Meat comes out really tender and flavorful

This is what I ate all the time growing up! Funny, cause i was just thinking the other day I should make it since its been a while!Make the soup with milk instead of water and boil water for pasta, i guess make a pound, a shortcut pasta. After pasta is cooked and soup is warm mix them together and put into baking dish. Cover the top with a layer of american cheese slices and bake in the oven until the cheese is melted.
It might sound strange... my grandma used to make it all the time for us and we loved it and still love it! It was known as 'Baked Macaroni' to us!
