Wedding gift question...
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I realized I changed my name but haven't yet made the bank to deposit our wedding gifts. I know a few checks are made out to me in my maiden name. Is this going to be a problem? For reasons I would rather not say, all our money and assets have to be in my name so I want to make sure we won't have a problem.
THANKS

Re: Wedding gift question...
Nope- not a problem. I think my bank had my sign my maiden name and then my married name underneath.

Re: Wedding gift question...
If your bank account is under one name and the check was written to your other name, just sign both names. That is what I did and that's what we used to tell people to do when I was a bank teller back in the day..

Re: Wedding gift question...
sign both names and have your marriage license with you just in case they want to see it, but i know when we deposited everything i had them note our account so that i can deposit checks under either name.
