weird .... i need ideas for a tv

DH and I got a spare tv from someone we know ... long-story-short is that this is an LCD TV that does NOT have a table-top stand (the part that the tv would stand on) and cannot be wall-mounted (one of the screw-holes in the back is broken).

We can purchase the tabletop stand for about $65 but we really would rather not spend the money.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of what else we can do so that we could still use this tv?

i know it's kind of a reach but i figured i'd ask anyhow
