I heard that about longhis but we got a full menu so they must have changed their policy or something.

We only ate at the hotel once b/c we knew the prices thanks to the warnings here. And it wasnt even that great. We ate at a restaurant near the Ritz a little farther north which was beautiful and delicious.

Oh and eating at the Swan Court was aweful. The birds constantly bothering you and the children running everywhere. I didnt enjoy it at all.

Where is the Bay Club?

The slide was broken? That is nuts..that is their #1 pro in my opinion. We had a lot of fun on that. The rest of grounds were fine but penguins in the lobby dont impress me when my room is ucky. Oh and I got a massage there which was blah too..they were very disorganized.

I LOVE your photos - the ones from the Road to Hana look just like mine from my honeymoon!

It so makes we want to go back tomorrow!! So glad to hear you liked Longhis & Nicks- they were a few of my favorites as well!!

The Bay Club was a small place a bit north of K'annapali...I think in a condo area. It was really hidden but a friend recommended it before we went.

The Hyatt's slide and swim up bar were closed when we were there I was so pissed because I had never been to a swim up bar before! We did, however, LOVE the slide at Kauai's Hyatt so we didn't mind so much.

So then, for this trip to Aruba, we booked the Marriott that had a swim up bar and go figure this time I can't drink with the pregnancy....! Turns out it's totally overrated IMO

The Hyatt doesnt really have a swim up bar. You swim up to this spot and then have to climb out to get a drink anyways. Its called the Grotto bar..which just happened to be empty all the time anyway..so its definitely overrated.

A lot of places in Mexico have a bar that you literally swim up to and sit at an underwater stool and drink which is novel.

It didnt really matter since I prefer to drink on land :D

Are you sure Luke wasn't doing a car commercial while you guys were there?

Those whale pics are amazing! WOW, definitely not an old lady thing to do. Glad you had a great time!
