what do u think of this?

so one of my best friends is preggo and for her shower i would like to get her a newborn shoot with duet since she used them for her wedding and loved them so much..

so i called to day and for 200 this si what she gets..

photo shoot with 3 diff positions
cd with photos and 2 enlargements

here is where im kinda put off..

cd has min 15 photos..prob 20 total..15 will be edited..5 of the best of each position..

is that too little? 20 pics in all for 200 bucks?

is that the norm of how many u get?

that seems like a lot for not too many pics, I would price out the other photogs that do newborn shoots

honestly, i think that's good. if you look at a lot of the newborn shoots (which are crazy expensive, btw), most of them offer an average of 25 edited images.

While I have zero experience with this...I don't think it is a bad deal. To be honest, how many pictures could you possibly need of a newborn in one position? It is not like a wedding where you need pictures of lots of different people and lots of different places. I would recommend doing some research and seeing what other photogs are doing...but I would guess you'd get a similar deal.

Gina I booked AvaJack for newborn pics and she's charging me $300. This doesnt include any prints but the website you order off of is like shutterfy so the prints are pretty reasonable. She also comes to your house and stays as long as she needs to to get good shots of the baby and she provides all props and stuff.

That's a pretty good price. I've been looking all around. Newborn sessions are crazy expensive.

i checked out alot of diff photogs tonight and most of them are more expensive..or only get like 10 more photos..but most def do not give u the rights to the photos which duet does..gotta think on tis one

well since the preggos on here are saying it's a good deal (and they've probably checked it out for themselves already) i'm gonna go ahead and say it's a good deal! esp since she loved them from her wedding i think it would be more sentimental doing it with them rather than another photog...

I'd want more along the lines of 50-75 pics for that price! Not all of them half to be edited, but still, I'd want more bang for my buck!

I actually just looked through the emails we exchanged and it didnt say so I went on LIF and asked people who have used her and they said between 50 and 60 edited images.
