What do you do at the gym?
I'm going back to the gym for the first time since before the wedding tonight, and I'm a little nervous.I get SO bored at the gym, and I always end up quitting before I should.
So what do you do? How do you stay motivated? I'd love to do a mix of cardio and strength, but I'm open to anything.

treadmill.. running is the best thing for me... i set my ipod or watch tv

I lvoe taking classes. ZUMBA!, cardio classes, yoga, pilates, etc. They are fun and kicccck my asssss (some of them!).Elliptical or treadmill
Then I do weights for arms and legs and then do ab work

I'm training for 2 half marathons so lately I've been running outside alot.When I do decide to go to the gym I usually get on the elliptical, arc trainer, the treadmill or the stairmaster. If I get bored with one, I just go to the other. If you mix it up like that it makes your workout go quicker (for example: 15 mins on the treadmill, 15 on the stairmaster, 15 on the elliptical- there's 45 mins of cardio right there!)
I also use the weight machines. Personally I'm more of a fan of freeweights though. I also do squats and lunges and the jump rope.

I go with DH like 3 times a week....he tells me what to do b/c I'm clueless. Maybe if you had your DH, a friend, or hire a trainer it might not be so boring.

I do some classes, the treadmill, and I do weights.Monday - Class
Wednesday - Upper body weights & cardio
Friday - Class
Saturday - Lower body weights & cardio
Sunday - Whatever I feel like doing

I lift weights 4-5 days a week. Depending on the week I do Back/Biceps, Chest/ Tricep/Shoulders,, Legs, and Abs/calves or Back/Biceps, Chest/shoulders, legs, biceps/triceps and abs/calves. I do 3-5 days a week as well. I usually do 20 minutes of sprints, take spin or just use the elliptical. I don't know how I stay motivated. I think I just know I am working towards a goal of having the healthiest and most fit body I can and that keeps me goin!

Well if i dont run the boardwalk i run the treadmill (im a long distance runner so that can be many many miles) & sometimes jump on the elliptical. I also always do strength training. Back/Bis waist & abs chest tris waist & abs & shoulder hips & thighs & abs. I love strength training its so great & good for you. I love taking kickboxing boxing & body sculpting. Im not a big fan at all of cardio kick or step or zumba stuff. I like hardcore stuff. I stay motivated by how good it is fo rme & how great i feel about me. I love knowing how strong i am. I workout 4/5 X per week. No less. - Good luck to u.

Thanks Ladies--I just got back from Spinning and LOVED it! I'll try some of your other class/workout suggestions this week/weekend
