i had the nookcolor, but i won an ipad so i gave the nook to my mom and now i can use ibooks, nook & kindle apps...

I'm obsessed with my Kindle but I only use it for reading so don't need extra gizmos/colors, etc. I LOVED how great it was in the sun---its just like the commercials, no glare!

well, iPad is the easy answer, IMO ... that's assuming money's no object, obviously since it's 4 times more expensive than the others.

I like that it can be used as an e-reader AND for games and other things.

However, if your eyes start hurting after reading a computer screen for a long time, then i'd go for kindle

My mom has a kindle and loves it! She has read a book a week for years years years and wasn't sure how she would like an e-reader...but she absolutely LOVES it!

I haven't read a book for pleasure in 3 years as my time has been consumed reading books for business school. I am done in 2 weeks and I may ask for a Kindle as my graduation present
