What kind of doctor...

do you see for neck pain?

It all started with a stiff neck over a month ago... now the stiffness is gone but I wake up with an AWFUL pain every day coming from the top of my neck where it meets my hairline on the right side.

I'd prefer to skip the middle man and go right the dr. who handles this kind of issue. any ideas?

DH goes to a back doctor for all pain in his neck and back. Orlin and Cohen I believe are the names and they are in Rockville Center and I THINK another office in Merrick.

Otherwise you can see an orthopedist. I'm not too into chiropratcics (sp?).

Thank you for this! I'm not into chiropractors either - eek! But I'll look into those dr's

I would start with your regular doctor - if you have one. They would be able to recommend if it's bone or nerve related. If you need a recommendation for a neurologist let me know - I had nerve problems in my back.
