When it rains it pours I guess...

My stress level has reached an all time high!!!! And I'm so tired lately I'll snap at anyone who looks at me the wrong way, including DH. It's been one thing after another lately with our families and I just don't know how much more I can take without going completely INSANE!

DH had his surgery, he's fine but still limited to what he can do. So now I have to cook, clean, dishes, laundry, take out the garbage, run ALL the errands, etc and he can't even drive yet so I have to drive back and forth to visit his dad who also just had surgery.

So his dad had his surgery. We live in Flushing and they live in Wantagh. We have been going out there 3 times a week which is fine, I think we should but because DH doesn't have work the next day, he's never in a rush to leave. So pretty much I'm working all day, going home, picking DH up, running some errands, and then out to Wantagh we go until about 10PM. It's all just physically exhausting with the driving and the running and the taking care of everything. I know it's something that has to be done, you would think DH would thank me a little more but that just might be me being cranky.

So his dad got his pathology report. It's good and bad. The cancer spread outside the prostate but the margins are clear because they cut enough out that they got it all. He has to start radiation but that's not for 3 months. It's still all very scary. I feel bad for the in-laws and DH. I might not get along with MIL (she drives me INSANE) but I LOVE my FIL! But apparently since I'm not blood it doesn't affect me I guess and DH makes it that he's the only one going through anything.

THEN last week I get a call from my cousin. They think she has a mass in her breast and she has to go to the doctor. THANK GOODNESS it turned out to be an infection that can be mixed up with breast cancer so she's fine just in pain.

THEN, we get a call that DH's great uncle is not doing too well (he just got diagnosed with leukemia and went through extensive chemo). We developed pnemonia and blood clots in his lungs. Well they had to take him of life support because there was no hope anymore yesterday. He passed on shortly after. The wake is Friday and funeral Saturday.

With all that we are moving into our new apartment next month and we aren't sure if it's the 1st or the 15th - the people moving out are trying to move everything up, which we're ok with but housing won't get back to anyone.

PLUS my car got killed by that hail and we have to pay the deductible of $500 but DH hasn't started getting his disability checks yet so money is BEYOND TIGHT!

AND this second wedding that no one cares about except us and my SIL...

I'm sorry this is so long and I'm venting about things I shouldn't be venting and I'm ungrateful for the good that is going on but it's just hard to look at it all. At the wake and funeral I'm going to have to see DH's aunt, uncle, and grandparents that I HATE (remember I got labeled 'the Jew' by them). It's just one thing after another. I've been wearing an evil eye bracelet every day, not even taking it off but I don't think it's working!

Is it time to go home yet? I have an appt with my orthopedist today for my knee injury back in June at work and I'm secretly hoping for surgery (although I probably don't need anything but PT) just so I can get some relaxation and rest. Physically and Emotionally drained!

Thank you for reading the LONGEST post EVER!!!! I'm sorry you had to go through all that but I REALLY needed to get that out!

Oh my! I feel so bad for you -

You are going through a lot right now and just need to vent it out. Take one thing at a time. And you know I'm here for you if you need to vent! I wish I could have some more words of wisdom for you but this is a rough patch for you. Everything will get better I promise...and it will make you stronger!!!!

I know what you mean by hoping for surgery, but hopefully you won't need it, you know?

Hopefully DH figures out that this is a VERY stressful time for you and thanks you somehow. You deserve a break!!!!

PS: Just because you're venting doesn't mean you're ungrateful! If we were 'happy' all the time, we'd explode!

Yes - you have a lot on your plate!

It's hard to see the good when there are so many other things going on!

At some point in time things will calm down and life will get back to normal. You seem to be doing a really great job of keeping it altogehter and being there for DH and the IL's.

Oh Linda!!

You really do have alot going on right now. I do think you should let Franky know how stressed you are before one day you totally flip out on him and say thing that you dont mean. Maybe you can go to the in-laws 2 x's a week instead of 3 and mention to him before you go 'Lets leave around 9 tonight- I am really tired today'

I agree with Becca that just because you are venting that it doesnt mean you are ungrateful. Sometimes we just need to vent a little and you know we are all here for you.... always!

I agree with this 100%. I say, go with Franky to your in-laws twice a week, and the 3rd night, drop him off and I will meet you in Wantagh. I am 1 town over. I think you need girl time with cocktails and no sad stories... JMO!!!
