Woodlands

Sorry for posting this but I figured there are girls here that have experience w/ the Woodlands.

My sister is getting married there next year and they are possibly expecting 250-300 guests. They're worried that the dance floor might be too small esp if they go with a band. For those that had their wedding there already or went to a wedding there, do you think that a band would take up too much space w/ that many guests? TIA!

Re: Woodlands

We used a 10 piece band and had about 200 guests and everything was perfect! I LIVED on the dancefloor and it was comfortably packed the whole night! Even at its most packed moments it was still a good packed and not a bad packed...if that makes any sense.

That being said, 100 more people might be a lot...for any dancefloor! 300 ppl is a VERY large wedding and 1/3 larger than mine, so I don't think I can help you out too much.....

We set our band up in a 'nook' kinda off the dancefloor (in the alcove by the double doors that leads to the room with the fireplace and piano...your sister will know what I'm talking about) so they were on the edge of the dancefloor as opposed to taking up space on the dancefloor itself. I'd def suggest that.

Re: Woodlands

ok that's good to know about 200 people. maybe i should tell her to cut down on her guest list and maybe 250 would be somewhat comfortable?

but i will def let her know about what you mentioned! thank you so much!

You can see the dark wood double doors in this pic - we had our band set up in that 'nook'......
