Would you ever
without going into detail, would you ever quit your job with no fall back?

Re: Would you ever
it would need to be a really horrible situation. like i came home crying every nighti quit a summer job before without a fallback. but i was in college at the time, and found another PT job relatively quickly/easily.

Re: Would you ever
I've been on verge many times (my boss is just horrible) but I know I really can't. We have to many bills and can't live off one salary.

Re: Would you ever
I'd love to, but I work with DH and ILs. DH would prob hate me a little and ILs would definitely know it was bc I hated working for them.If it wasn't DH and ILs... I prob would have left a loooong time ago and possibly without a fall back since I used to leave here crying a lot.
I have an old job that would prob take me back, even just sometimes, like as a sub.
That alwaaaays went through my mind...
Do you have anything like that? An old P/T job with ppl you're on good terms with?

Re: Would you ever
i *would* if i knew that DH and I could survive off of his salary ... but since we can't, i wouldn't do it.I told DH to quit the job he had when we first started dating though because they paid him sooo little and made him work 80 hours a week (and they were huuuuge a$$holes) ... so it was worth quitting that job without a fallback.

Re: Would you ever
It would either have to be pretty extreme or planned.I have worked a job where I came home crying every night, but I stuck it out until I got a new job and boy did it feel good to go into my boss's office and hand her my two weeks notice.

Re: Would you ever
If things were really bad, I would but I'd make sure we're covered with bills, etc., first. I've done it before, but that's only because I saved up enough to be able to take the summer off.

I want to sometimes... but I don't want to put DH through that, so I haven't.

Re: Would you ever
I was considering this for a little while...but good sense prevailed. We have enough savings that we would have been totally fine for months but DH would have been really upset, so that was that.

I did, but it's because DH got a way better job that required us to move.
