X-Post: Shower GIft Help

I posted this on BHB, but thought that you wonderful newlyweds would give me some great ideas!

Ok, ladies, get your creative thinking caps on!

I'm the MOH in my friends wedding in July. She's been through a lot and I just want to make everything INCREDIBLY special for her...she deserves happiness and everything that comes with it!

That being said, I want to start getting some sentimental/cute shower gifts together for her now. Her and her FH have been living together for years (they have a house) and have a 2 1/2 year old little girl (my little peanut...love her to death).

Any ideas jump out at you? I'm slightly crafty (I can follow directions really well ) Did your bridal partyMOH do anything special or fun for you?

TIA!!!

Re: X-Post: Shower GIft Help

It really depends on your friend.... Tell me a little bit more about her.

I'll give you an idea of what my creative mind can do. For my FSIL I got her a 'Football Survival Kit' I went to Michaels and got one of those metal ice buckets and decorated it to say 'Lindsey's Football Survival Kit' My BIL loves the Jets so I got her a jets shirt and green lacy underwear. A mini keg of Heiniken. and giftcards to Taco bell, McDonalds, and Dominos. Then I wrote her a cute poem about how she could use each item. I didn't save the poem on my computer so I can't share it with you. But it was cute, she read it outloud and everyone had a good laugh! I set the bar pretty high now though! Good thing most of my friends are married!

She loves the Yankees and Jets. She's not much of a cook and loves wearing jeans and flip flops or uggs. She loves Vegas...gamvling and drinking. Loves the 1980's...music especially. I've known her since 7th grade...hate to say it but it's been almost 19 years!!! She's the easiest person to love, but the hardest to buy for. I got her and her fh a Channa plaque for their e-party so that's out.

I'm totally at a loss. She's registering but I wanted to get her something special and fun and useful and memorable...talk about keeping the bar high!

Thank for your help

Re: X-Post: Shower GIft Help

maybe getting her a bunch of flip flops-like a pair for every month of the year? I know we dont really wear flip flops in the colder months but uggs has a great furry pair, and since ur friend is into flip flops and uggs, this may be perfect!!! you can attach little sayings to each pair...like:

*Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.
~ by Flavia Weedn ~

'Still making each other's hearts go flip-flop'

'Our love will never suffer the agony of de feet'

'Sole mates'

'We've walked a mile in each other's shoes'

ugg flip flops!
