I got one. It was my aunt, so I had my dad tell her, and she sent me another check. I contacted the bank, complained a little and got the fee reversed.

we did it was a family friend....3mts later we are still waiting for a new check...i guess i can consider that a loss

We did but we didn't say anything to the person we just waited to the 15th or 30th of the month(can't remember which exactly) because we know thats usually pay day and were able to put the check in again and it worked.

we had one check that bounced. the person actually noticed the return fee and sent us a new check plus the fee.

i would just tell them. unfortunately i have written checks that bounced and most of the time it was not the my fault. I just sent another check and/or sent cash immediately afterwards.

We had a check that bounced, plus the bank fee. It was DHs cousin, who brought it to OUR attention that the check was going to bounce AFTER we deposited it on the date SHE POST DATED IT FOR!!! 6 months later we are still waiting... definatly taking it as a loss.
