3/26/06 watermill wedding

Wow, I can't believe my wedding day is over, the time went so fast. The two weeks before my wedding were the most stressful, I had 2 vendors call up and tell me they were sending someone else to do my wedding, I had a really bad toothache and we thought my dh had broken his foot 4 days before the wedding. Thankfully everything was perfect and I wish I could do that day a million times over.

Favors: Ebay A+
I got ice cream scoops. They came really fast and were beautiful. Also got a great price, I paid around $70 for 80 scoops.

Jewelry: Macy's A+
My mother-in-law bought my jewelry, it was beautiful and she got a really good price.

Shoes: Bridesave A+
Great price, really fast shipping and their light ivory matched my dress perfectly.

Wedding bands: Center gold in Centereach A+

They have a lot of beautiful jewelry and the people their are so wonderful to work with.

My dress and bridesmaid dresses: Bayshore bridal suite: A+
I worked with Mary ellen and she was such a doll. I had 7 bridesmaids and all of their dresses fit perfect and not one of them had any problems.
My dress fit perfect and I loved the bustle the seamstress did. I would definetly recommend them. I also got my tiara and 2 veils from them and they were beautiful.

Jr. Bridesmaid dress: Renate's Lindenhurst: B

I ordered this dress about 3 months before the wedding and they said it would be in in time. They hadnt called me when the dress came in and I had to call the 1 week before the wedding for the dress. They did get the dress ready in time but I asked the seamstress to make the strap on the dress tighter because it kept falling down, and she didnt.

Limo's: All Star A+++++++++
I can not say enough good things about All Star. They are wonderful people to deal with and the drivers of my two limo's were so great. The driver of the rolls calmed me down so much when I almost was having a panick attack right before I was walking down the aisle. They knew where they were going, the limo's were spottless and 3 people in my bridal party told me their hummer was the nicest limo they've ever been in.

Photo-This is one vendor that switched guys with me. 1 week before the wedding I found out I was getting someone else for photography. But, they were very proffesional and really nice guys.They showed up early and I know the got a lot of great shots.
Video- showed up on time and was not always in my face, I barely knew he was there.

Flowers: Flowers by Burton A++++++
John was great to work with and accomodated my when I had to make last minute changes. floweres were delivered on time, My flowers and everyones flowers were absolutely amazing. The centerpieces were gorgeous and they decorated the cake beautifully. would def. recommend them.

Invitations: myjeanm.com A+
My invitations arrived quickly and they were beautiful. No problems at all. A lot of people told me how much they liked them.

Calligraphy: invitations and placecards-Myself A+
I did my own calligraphy on my invitations and placecards. I had wanted to go with a company, but he told me he lost what I sent him 3 times and then never returned my phone calls, so I was running out of time and just did them myself on my computer. They came out really nice

D.J- High Voltage sounds Before B Day of A
I had booked Vinny in the summer of 2004 for an October 2005 wedding. Last Year I changed my date to March 2006 due to money problems. When I called to change my date with Vinny he told me he was available. About 1-2 weeks before my wedding Vinny writes me a FM letting me know that he would not be doing my wedding, the was already booked for mt date, and that I would be getting Pete. I was obviously very upset and felt that he put the other bride before me. Because, if Vinny had told me when I changed my date with him that he wasnt available, I would have met with Pete first to see how I liked him and if I didnt booked someone else. Vinny told me I should have asked him when I changed if he would be doing it. The truth is, I didnt know he even hired anyone else, and he should have been the one to tell me- I am booked for that day, but Pete is available.......
But, Pete did a great job, everyone loved him. He played everything on my playlist and nothing on my do not play list. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a good time.

Rose petals, table number cards, menu's, all from ebay: A+
Everything was beautiful and arrived very quickly.

Hair and Make-up: Kathleens hair boutique west babylon: A+
Kathy came to my house around 9:00 and did my hair and make-up and everything came out great. I changed the way I wanted my hair from my trial and it was exactly what I wanted and my hair stayed in all night. My make-up was very natural looking and wasn't caked on with I was very happy with and it stayed on all night.

Bridesmaids hair: Kathleen hair boutique B
Kathy bought 3 other girls with her because I had a lot of people getting their hair done. All but 2 of my girls loved their hair. One of Kathy's girls did my moh hair so beautiful with the curling iron, I mean it looked awesome, and then she started brushing it out. My sister had to fix her hair herself. One other bridesmaid also didn't like her hair and fixed it up, but everyone else was happy.

WATERMILL A+++++++++++++++++++
Brian was my banquet manager and was very accomadating. With my date changes and all the problems I was having he still took very good care of me and never let me know that I was giving him a hard time, which I know I was. When I didn't make my minimum, they gave me the veinesse hour for a VERY good price.
Day of: The watermill was absolutely wonderful. I always had a drink in my hand and my bridal attendant was always by my side for whatever I needed. All of my guests raved about the food and whatever I got to eat was delicious. My guests said they were never without a drink and all of the waiters were very attentive. My cake was beautiful, it was so big, and it was soooooooooo good. I got the chocolate cake, with chocolate pudding and canoli filling yummmmmmm.
All of my guests loved the vienesse hour, they ate so much of it. My bridal attendant helped me pack up all of my things, like my table cameras, evrerything. She boxed up all of the cake, a whole bunch of pies and pastries and cookies. My bridal attendant asked my dh if he wanted her to box up a whole bunch of food for us for the bridal suite at the hotel and he said NO, OMG I was sooooooo mad, because I barely got to eat anything and by the end of the night I was starving.

As a fellow Watermill bride it is always great to hear that everything went extremely well. I was also glad to hear Burton's was great too (we're using them also!) I'd love to see some more pics of the flowers if you have any.
