4/11/08 Review - CLM, Burton's, Proline, OLL etc.

My wedding day was the most amazing day. A few peices of advice for the day of: 1. Don't sweat the small stuff. 2. Take a moment to sit back with your Husband and take it all in. I know everyone says it, but its true. I'm so glad we did. We sat back for about 5 minutes, and just watched our guests having fun, and it is something I will remember forever.

I haven't scanned my proofs yet, but there are a few pictuers in my album.

I'm going to grade my vendors on a scale from 1 -10.

CHATEAU LA MER: 100
Yes on a scale of 1 - 10 I give the CLM a 100. Everyone should have their reception at the Chateau la Mer. Nick was terrific. Our Maitre D - Monika was on top of everything and so was our bridal attendant Sylvia. The place was stunning. The new dance floor was in the week of my wedding, so that was an added bonus. Our shuttles were a little early, and they opened up cocktail hour early becuase of it. Food is awesome. I can't rave about them enough. I lLOVE LOVE LOVE the place and their staff. They really made my day special.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH: 10
Beautiful church. Pre Cana was great (shout out to my pre cana pals). Deacon Jack was the best. Rehearsal was smooth and everything the day of went perfect

FLOWERS BY BURTON: 9
The staff was fantasic, easy to deal with, they were resonably priced, and my flowers were gorgeous. The centerpeices lasted over a week after the reception. I gave them a 9 instead of a 10 becuase my BM bk's were supposed to be white calla lillies with hot pink roses, but I got white roses with hot pink roses instead. Not a big deal, they were still gorgeous.

BURTON'S BRIDAL: 10
Carol is awesome. The dresses were super affordable. The seamstress is amazing. I got both my gown and the BM's gowns there and no one complained. I loved our dresses and they did a fantastic job on alterations.

BARRON'S: 10
My veil was beautiful. Too bad I only get to wear it once

SANDY'S SHOES: 10
Love my shoes. Wore them almost the whole night. Super affordable.

GINO'S TUXEDO: 10
Husbands tuxedo was a beautiful pinstripe tux and he looked sooooo handsome in it. Groomsmen looked great in their tuxes too. We bought the groomsmen their ties as their gift, and they looked great with the tux.

BPN ENTERTAINMENT: 9
Everyone was on the dance floor all night. They did a photo montage for us, and took photos all night to put up on their big screens. All the guests loved it. Plus they gave me a disc of all the pictures they took. I got a ton of compliments about them. I gave them a 9 instead of a 10 because he didn't play a few songs on our 'must play' list. No one at the reception noticed becuse they were all having to much fun, so it wasn't a big deal. If you use them, stress which songs are must plays.

HAIR - LUCIA: 9
I got her name and number from my friend who used her for her wedding. She brought a helper and they did 6 of us. I LOVED my hair. So did all but one of my bridesmaids. WHich is why she got a 9 and not a 10.

MAKEUP - EVIE TORRE: 10
She did mine and my Mom's make up. I LOVED IT! And my Mom loved hers.

INVITATIONS - EBAY 10:
Loved them. They were more modern than usual and we got a ton of compliments on them.

COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT: 8
Just like many others, when first dealing with them it was a horror show. Then Faith took over and everything went a lot smoother. No one complained about their room. The bar was kept open until 2am. Be warned, the shuttles only run 2 times before cocktail hour. Some of my guests missed it, and took a cab. But they were a little late, so its not a total loss against the Marriott.

PROLINE STUDIOS: - I will be grading each on each photographer.
MAIN PHOTOGRAPHER - JOHN: 4
PHOTO JOURNALIST - Vinny: 8.5
VIDEOGRAPHER - ?? 10
My main photographer was dissappointing to say the least. We met John about a month before the wedding. He rushed our meeting, which annoyed my Mom. I had a list of 'must take' pics to give him. It was long and alot of the pics on there were your standard pics i.e. Bride with Groom, Groom with Groomsmen etc. He told me he didn't want to be checking a list all night and that I should trust him to get all the standard pictures taken, he said I should only give him a list of different or specific pics I want taken. Well, I get my proofs back, and guess what, there are pictures that were never taken. For instance, there is only one picture of my Groom with his groomsmen. And it is not even a good one. My husband is so upset. Another one missing: our kiss at church. There is not one picture of our official kiss at church. I'll never get that moment back, and I dont have a picture of it!! There aren't any pictures of our readers at church, no pictures at cocktail hour. etc. etc. I'm pissed. And I feel especially bad for my husband. I have a ton of pictures with me and my girls, and doesn't have any good ones with his boys. It makes me want to cry for him. The proofs we do have are nice, and we will have a nice album, it is just soooo upsetting to have major things missing. I still get upset just talking about it. My advice, GIVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER A LIST NO MATTER HOW LONG IT IS.
Photojournalist pictures are great. He could have captured some of the missing moments, but that isn't really his job. His job is to take the candid shots. So that is why I'm not holding responsibilty agains him totally.
Videographer. Got his uncut footage already, and he caught everything on tape. Can't wait to see the cut version
PROLINE STUDIOS COMPANY 8. Georgia the manager has been a delight to deal with, and very accommodating to my complaints. Plus I got my proofs and uncut video after only 2 weeks! I can't hold the fact that my photographer was a moron against the hole company.

Thanks for the review! I am using 2 of the vendors you used and now I'am a little nervous b/c one didn't get a good review.
If you happen to remember the driver you had, FM me so I can tell them I don't want him, LOL! You looked beautiful and I loved your BM dresses you picked.

BEST DAY EVER!! I wonder why there's no pictures of Jay?? Your butt looks super cute in the second pic too. Also, if you were wondering where I was at the end of your wedding, I was eating everyone's cookies while they were on the dance floor. I'm not just a pretty bridesmaid, my friend...
