5/15/10 Wedding Review: Venetian Yacht Club, Hank Lane, Lina Jang Photography, Jolie Events- pics to follow

I wanted to start by thanking LI Wedding brides for all of their help. While i didn't post much I definitely used alot of helpful tips!
Well here it is- a review from my beautiful fabulous wedding weekend- pics to follow

Venetian Yacht Club I couldn't have been happier with how the reception hall worked out- food, service, atmosphere- all of it was exceptional! My guests are still raving! We worked with Daisy who was a pleasure from start to finish. We held our ceremony out on the promenade then went into the Regency Suite for Cocktails- an elaborate spread of tasty treats (and the hors d'oeuvres were delish!), then upstairs to the State Suite for our reception. Everything was done as we requested and our 200 guests fit beautifully with lots of room to move about. The venetian hour was probably the most popular part of the evening even after all of the food we had already had.
The maitre d' George & bridal attendant allowed us to enjoy every minute & not worry about a thing! I highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful affair with a gorgeous view to host their wedding at VYC.

Hank Lane- Artie Stuart Band: I always knew Hank Lane Bands & Djs are great but they absolutely blew me away! Each and every one of my guests continues to tell me its the best band they've ever heard at the many weddings they attended. The band actually got onto the dancefloor & entertained the guests. They played all kinds of music from pop/hits to 50s-60s and salsa! I was on the dance floor all night long! If music is important to you- you should look nowhere else as they will keep the party going.

Jang Photography- Lina Jang
I've seen many photographers and Lina is one of the best- while a bit pricier (she has less expensive assistants who are also great)- she is worth every dime! From our enagagement pics to the rehearsal dinner & day of her team was there for every shot both portrait & artistic. She even does B-pics! My siblings all had problems with their wedding photographer & after seeing my pics wished they had gone with Lina

Jolie Events- Javier Demera
Again the flowers were above & beyond my expectations. The chupah for the ceremony was gorgeous- without being over the top. We had linens, lighting, chair covers & centerpieces and they all came together beautifully. I gave Javier a color & style and said do whatever you think will look best & he did!! A sweetheart to work with and reasonably priced- highly recommended

Melville Marriott Our guests stayed at the Marroitt and they were hands down the most exceptional hotel experience i have had. We had guests delayed by flights who didn't get charged for their room night, they helped us with a room for rehearsal & the post wedding brunch was in the beautiful atrium and very good. My entire experience working with Ilene made everything so easy. They also shuttled our guests to our rehearsal dinner at no cost!

Black Stone Steakhouse: We went to Blackstone for our rehearsal dinner- about 70ppl and worked with Maureen to give us a very yummy menu in a nice intimate private room and work within our budget. The service was great, food even better- go there even if its just for dinner!

Classic Transportation We got our limo bus & trolley to shuttle guests from Classic Trans- Sal was great to work with, the cars were in good condition & right on time!

Crestwood Manor: I had my bridal shower in March at Crestwood Manor- the place was adorable and the food & service great. The second floor has a cute wood paneled bar and there is outdoor terrace space with a garden! While we only had about 50ppl there was plenty of room for a larger group.

Rolling Pin Bakery: Our cake was very pretty & tasty- they were easy to work with and very accommodating at doing whatever we wanted

Officient: Cantor Sher We had a priest & cantor and i have to say i'm so happy i worked with cantor Sher- he led the service & was on time & made sure everything ran smoothly- he will do interfaith or same faith as well.
