7/4 wedding review

Firstly, I want to thank everyone on these boards who have helped me! Without these boards, I would not have found some of my amazing vendors!

Jericho Jewish Center- A+++++

I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful this place was and how fantastic the staff there was! Everything was top notch from start to finish! Michael was amazing to work with through the whole planning process and he was especially amazing that day! The matre' d (Alan) and bridal assistant (Susan) were wonderful, calming, extremely helpful and very organized which made my day go so smoothly! The food was absolutely delicious and in such enormous quantities that my in-laws has left-overs for 2 days! I highly recommend this synagogue if you are looking for a synagogue!

Band- Renegade (LI Paramount)- A+++++

Again, I cannot begin to tell you how unbelievable they were! Everything I have read and been told about them is true! They have so much energy, creativity and enthuasium and it really comes out in each song they do! Dave, the owner and lead singer, is truly amazing! He has such a dynamic personality and it really makes the party a success! Elena, the lead female singer was absoultely wonderful, as were the rest of the band members! They got the party into high gear before we even came in and the dance floor was packed the entire day! They have an amazing range with their songs and can do basically anything from Sting to Metallica. People were amazed at them the entire day and are still talking about them now! Florist: Colonial Florist in Bellmore. A+++++

Claudio and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with! They were so helpful & creative from start to finish. And most importantly, they really came through on the wedding day! My ceremony room was breathtaking, the centerpieces and other reception decorations were georgous, and the personal flowers were stunning! They really made my vision come alive! They were really wonderful to work with and their prices were great too! They really give you a lot in terms of flowers for your money as well as attention and patience. Claudio was there himself that morning setting things up. He wanted to make sure we were happy and we were really thrilled!

Hair: Sarah Rock & Bridget Rock

They were amazing! I cannot even begin to tell you how great they are. I originally hired Sarah for my hair but since I had so many girls getting their hair done, she brought her twin sister, Bridget with her. They were both amazing! I love how my hair came out and the rest of the girls' hair was also amazing- exactally what they wanted. A bunch of them brought in pictures and the styles were perfectly recreated- that is a show of true talent to me! They are so much fun to be around- so personable and fun and soothing! I will definitely be using them again for any functions I have in the future!

Makeup: Jillian from Georgous Faces- A+++++

Jillian is amazing! She is so talanted and does amazing work! I absolutely loved my makeup- I felt like a porcelin doll! My makeup was regular (not air brushed) and it stayed on all night. No smudging or running or fading. In fact, it looked just as flawless at the end of the day as it did at the beginning! She did an excellent job on my mom and my bridesmaids too- they all loved her! Her prices are very reasonable and she is absolutely a sweetheart to be with! I will also definitely use her for other events in the future!

Photographer & videographer: Duet. unknown

I don't have my proofs or video back so it's hard to say yet but I expect that they will be excellent.

Bridesmaid dresses: Aria
I loved the dresses! Aria is based out of LA and they have a showroom in Boston. I went to the Boston showroom to see the dresses and I loved them! My girls had a very easy time ordering the dresses and they fit pretty well. The only girls who needed major alterations were the ones who ordered a size too big. Otherwise, they fit pretty true to size. I loved the color- they were melon which is sort of an apricot color. They have such pretty colors- it was hard to pick one! The greatest thing about the dresses is that they are very simple and can be worn again- some of my girls are making them knee length and using them for a cute summer dress. The dresses were not that expensive (about $200 with shipping). I would definitely recommend them!

Overall, my wedding was perfect! We both had an amazing time and loved every minute of it! My vendors really went above and beyond and it showed! We had a blast and according to my guests, they did too!

Mazel Tov!!!!!!!!Congratulations, I am sure you cant believe that it is over it seems like we were just discussing plans through FM yesterday. I am also using Jillian for makeup and i am so happy to see the rave review you gave her, not that I doubted that she would do an excellent job, i absolutely loved my trial with her It was so natural that is what i love about her. I have not found someone for hair yet, but i am considering Sarah, could you FM me the pricing on her though? Thank you ....I read your review on Hawaii, we can not wait to be there,,,,Cant wait to see picks....Congratulations again on being a Mrs.....and much continued love and happiness in the future.

2 more additions:

Dress: Paula Varsalona- A+++++

I got my dress at one of their sample sales so I got a $5K dress for under $2K and that was awesome! I loved my dress and they did such an amazing job with the alterations. I paid a flat fee upfront which was hefty but it was fine with me because I knew they would take care of my dress and do the aterations perfectly. Plus, I've heard of people paying more for alterations so i was ok with it. It fit pretty well when I bought it but they really made it perfect for me! I highly recommend going to their salon in NYC to see their dresses! They are absolutely georgous and they have sample sales all the time!

Tuxedos: S & S Tuxedos in Hicksville- A++

These guys were great! My husband has been renting tuxes from them for years and he bought a new tux from them for our wedding. They were very easy to work with, the staff was very helpful, they threw in a bunch of things and offered great discounts and coupons! My brother rented a tux from them for our wedding and it was so easy- I went with him and we were in the store for less than 30 minutes. It was fast, easy & painless! I highly recommend them!

Mom's dress: The Elegant Bride in Albertson- A

I went with her when she bought the dress and they were great. They treated her & us with respect and were very helpful. She lives in Florida so she actually picked up her dress 2 days before my wedding, had the aterations done by them within 2 days (something they promised & came through with) and it turned out beautiful! She was very happy with her dress and it looked great on her! The prices are good and they didn't charge too much on the aterations. I definitely recommend going there. They also had a nice selection of wedding dresses at great prices. I already had my dress so i didn't really look but they seemed really beautiful!

MIL's dress: Philly's in Roslyn. A

She was very happy with them! She has been going there for a long time and she got a georgous dress from them for our wedding. They have a very nice selection and are very friendly and helpful.

Great Review.. I'm glad everything turned out perfect!

We used Colonial as our florest and I was just as happy as you were w/ the outcome.. Claudio is a sweetheart!! My mother is still getting calls about how beautiful the flowers were.. He does amazing work!

And...

We also used S&S Tuxedo in Hicksville and like your DH, my DH has used them for years.. They were extremely helpful from the first time we walked in, up until a few days before the wedding. The service was perfect, & everything went so smoothly.
