Prior to Wedding: I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED our reception hall. The second we walked in there I just KNEW I had to have my wedding here. It doesn’t look like a normal Reception Hall and that’s what I loved about it. From the start Leslie our banquet manager was top notch, VERY on top of everything and very quick to respond to any questions. I absolutely loved working with her, she might have been one of my most favorite vendors to work with.
Day of:
Oooooooo my god!! Every little thing was perfect, all my details were done to perfection and exactly how I wanted them. I had brought A LOT of things over to them and not a single thing was left out. My Bridal Attendant Gail was hilarious…she scared me at first b/c she can seriously talk a mile a minute but seriously….she never let us be without a drink in our hand, always made sure we ate, she held my lipstick all night, bustled my impossible bustle…she even helped me go to the bathroom LOL. She was wonderful, I never had to ask her for anything b/c she was always right on top of it. Our Maitre’d Samir…..WOW I loved him….he was such a nice person and anything we needed he was right there as well, I just cannot even explain what a kind person he was. My DH has to eat like every 4 hours b/c he’s hypoglycemic and he made up an entire surf & turf to go dinner for him…..he took care of both parents so well. You really truly have NOTHING to worry about. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD…..the cocktail hour was amazing….the viennesse hour was AMAZING……our guests are still talking about the food. I could go on and on and on about how much I freakin LOVED the Milleridge….every single part of our wedding was done with perfection!!!







Cake- Milleridge Bakery- A++++
HOLY CRAP my cake was gorgeous, I really didn’t care so much about my cake, not that I wanted an ugly bad tasting one but it just wasn’t a focus to me but when I saw it and tasted it that night….MY GOODNESS it was perfect!!!

Photography A+++++++++++++- I LOVE JAY & DANNY & COULD NOT be any more happier with how our proofs came out….They got every shot, we could ever wanted. I could go on and on and on and on about them but I leave this short and sweet b/c they were just PERFECT!!!

Milleridge Florist: B+
They got a B+ b/c there were a few things I wasn’t thrilled with. While working with Bob was wonderful, I felt like every time we met with him he was very frazzled which in turn made me a little frazzled. We went for our sample CP showing and it was the wrong one, which he then quickly corrected but again, it made me a little nervous. The day of the wedding my issues were….
*my MIL never got her bouquet delivered to their house, they dropped it off at the church but then let no one know who it was for, so she had no bouquet for pictures before the wedding nor did she have any walking down the isle. (not the end of the world but still)
*My BoK…..I didn’t really care for it, I felt that it was small, & that my roses were a little browned & I had two broken stephanotas right in the center of my BoK which was driving me crazy!!!
* DH’s bout. was just pathetic looking…..it was two stephonatas, I thought they would’ve put a few more on there, so that died within hours.
* my girls BoKs were suppose to have light pink ribbon around the stems b/c at the last minute I got nervous that whatever aqua ribbon they were using wasn’t going to match. Well, they show up with aqua ribbon on it…which thank the lord….matched perfectly but still.
The good though was that my Centerpieces were GORGEOUS….my girls BoK’s were GORGEOUS…..my cake was decorated PERFECTLY….my mantle piece was absolutely breathtaking. Also, the day of the wedding Bob did wait for me to pull up to the Milleridge to ask if everything was ok and I told him yes b/c he was just so excited!

So overall, I was pleased and got over the fact that I wasn’t thrilled with my BoK or DH’s bout.









All-Star Limo: A
No plus b/c they didn’t arrive to either of our houses at the time they were suppose to. We both made it to the church on time but it was just one of things you just didn’t want to worry about. Our PACKARD was GORGEOUS and our driver Lou was THE BEST....the Yukon was Was perfect and the driver also was top notch. I LOVED working with Debbie!!!!



Solutions Valet: A (i guess...haha)
Is it weird that I have NO IDEA if this vendor was good or not??? I don't even remember seeing them b/c I was there before they were & I was gone after they were gone. None of my guests complained so I guess they were good! They were great to work with prior to the day of...actually the guy was SO freakin nice when he called me.

DJ Barattini Productions: A++++++++++++++++

OK, just b/c he’s been my best friend since the fifth grade it still isn’t the reason I give him such a high score. While he was a guest at the wedding his company was Amazing….SO FUN….kept everyone dancing all night. Our MC Benny was THE NICEST, FUNNIEST person to work with ever. Johnny the DJ was perfect and played everything we had asked for and so much more!!















Piano Player, Kandace Miller: A+++++

Thanks to Lisa (Licee15) I was able to get a beautiful piano player to play at our cocktail hour. I made sure that I got down to the CH just so I could hear her play. She sounded amazing and many people said so. She was great to work with and now she’s a vendor on LIW & also part of Barattini Productions.


Percussionist Bongo Drummer, Pat Davis: A++++++
What a great piece to have with the DJ. He sounded great and it was so fun to hear him playing along with every song. It really made the guests dance even more. He’s also part of Barattini Productions.



My Hair, Maria from Concours D’Elegance: A+++++++
She’s an LIW vendor and thanks to Jiffy for her recommendation….after about 4 hair trials with different hair stylists…Maria came to my rescue and FINALLY nailed exactly what I wanted. All I wanted was my hair up with my natural curl…you think that would be easy….not really every other person would use a curling iron over my curls, or straighten it and then curl it and I was hating them all. Then Maria came along and I had two trial with her and each time I loved both…we went with the second choice the day of the wedding and OH MY GOD…..my hair turned out AMAZING, I don’t think I could’ve been ANY happier with it. People complimented me all night long. I love, love, love working with Maria…What a nice, nice person!! I HIGHLY recommend her!





My Make-Up, Make-up by Billie: A+++++++++
Holy Moly, I wish she could do my make-up everyday. It came out so perfectly & I couldn’t have been any happier with it. I also highly recommend getting lash extensions the day of your wedding, what a difference. I cannot tell you how many people commented on them! FM me for her info. (it’s her personal e-mail account)

My Bridesmaid Hair, Cactus Salon in Northport: A+++
You can see from the pictures how wonderful each and everyone one of my BM’s hair looked like. They were SO organized about the whole thing…almost to organized b/c I got a lot of phone calls prior to the wedding (which was annoying at times but seriously…who can complain about a salon being RIGHT on top of every appointment). Two of my girls got there make-up done as well, which also turned out beautifully.

My Gown & Veil, Carmella’s Bridal Garden: A++++++++
My Gown was Maggies, Symphony Royale. I loved working with Carmella. She is this strong, funny, caring 100% Italian angel. She might come off to some people as very straight forward but I think that’s what I loved about her. She never pressured us into buying anything but was real about anything we had asked her. My dress came in exactly when they said it would be in. It was originally just straight across strapless, Carmella worked her magic and made it into a perfect sweetheart neckline (flawless). When I went for my first fitting, the dress was hemmed a little short but thank the lord Carmella could fix it. It was steamed perfectly and I just couldn’t be any more pleased with them.








Bridesmaid Dresses & Groomsmen ties, Aria Dresses: A+++++++
I loved my bridesmaid dresses so much that I wish I got one for myself, lol. I knew I wanted a VERY soft aqua dress w/ some sort of accent color, I knew I wanted short dresses and in a different material. I came across their website, looked up some reviews and then headed to Boston with my sister & mom to checkout the showroom. OMG…talk about perfect service. The lady we worked with was perfect, I decided to use the aqua silk fabric, picked the style of the dress but then wasn’t sure what to use as the accent color…..she came up with the accent color (Peacock) and in turn it became the main color of my entire wedding. We did the try on program which cost me 15 dollars in shipping for each shipment….I did one in NY and then another in MD (which in total was 30 for shipping but so worth it!!) You were able to pick 3 sizes for them to try on. Doing the paperwork with girls was a little time consuming but I didn’t mind b/c it was so early on in the planning stages (it was harder for me b/c I had a lot of girls out of state) but all in all, it was flawless. I sent it off and then just waited for them to come in. Halfway through the waiting stages we found out my sister was pregnant…lol. We called Aria right up and although it cost her more b/c they dresses were being shipped out like the next day…they still got the new dress to her within like 3 weeks. The dresses came in and were PERFECT, they were even more beautiful then I ever thought they could be. I was THRILLED!!! The guys ties came in SO PERFECT and looked AWESOME too!!











MOB Dress, My Daughters Wedding: A
No plus b/c the dress came in much later then they had said but with that said…my Moms dress was AMAZING. The ladies that worked there was very nice to work with. Her alterations came out perfectly & they even made her shawl w/ the extra fabric (for extra cost though)








MOG Dress, Macy’s: N/A
Not sure about the service or really much of her experience. I know it came in on time and was beautiful!!



Groomsmen Tuxedos, Apollo Tuxedos, Northport: A++++++++
I was nervous about all Tuxedo places and Apollo was SO easy to deal with & everything came in perfectly. No complaints!


Ringbearer Tuxedo, Atias Flea Market: A++++
YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS PRICE!!!!! It was 35 dollars to BUY IT and it fit PERFECTLY!! There are a few booths that sell them there. To rent it, it was 80 and to buy at the flea market was 35..HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT!!!

My Shoes by Grace: Varone’s, Sayville NY A+
This was my third stop for shoes and they carry a line called Grace and I fell in love with them. They were comfortable and I left them on all night

My Day of Necklace, Meg from Bella-Jewels: A+++++++++++
I had the hardest time finding a necklace b/c I wanted light ivory pearls but w/ silver accents & that had a little drop to it but most ivory pearl necklaces came with gold accents. Finally my friend suggested Meg and I sent her a necklace that I liked from Fortunoff for 3k and she made a replica of it for a very reasonable price. I loved it, it was beautiful. She turned it around so quickly for me and was GREAT to work with.

My Day Earrings & Bracelet, J&J Designs (Huntington): A+
I found inexpensive earrings and bracelet from one of those jewelry stores that are on like every corner of NYC except this one is located right in Hunting Village. They carry a whole line of Bridal stuff but I actually found it on different displays.

My Tiara, Atias Flea Market: A+
I bought my tiara from a booth in the center of the flea market. It was exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t beat the price.




Bridesmaid Jewelry, AVON: A+
The set came with a necklace and earrings. Inexpensive and they looked great on my girls the day of! Def. check each brochure campaign as they come out, they do carry some nice sets for like nothing! It’s not top notch quality but it works!!

Hotel for OOT, Holiday Inn Plainview: A
No plus b/c some guests who stayed at the hotel never showed up on my final list, which through off my van count for All-Star (& I know these guests used my code) & some staff was hard to talk too. Either way….everyone got there OOT bags, everyone’s rooms were cleaned. DH’s & I’s suite the night of our wedding we huge and really, really nice! Over all for the price, the location I would totally recommend people to use this one. OH and they had a bar with band playing until 2am which was fun for guests to hang out in after the wedding (DH & I never made it down there)

Originally I had wanted another color, I had ordered it, it went through and then like 4 days later I got an e-mail saying they were out of the color I requested, it annoyed me and I ended up getting just black ones, but I will say for the price they are great bags and I now use my extras for misc. things! Great for grocery shopping too! I think they were like 79 cents…..how can you beat that???

Rehearsal Dinner, The Garden Grill, Smithtown: A+++++
They were GREAT….great service…..great room….great food. I have no complaints whatsoever!

Favors- Donation to American Cancer Society: A+++
Donation: I worked with [email protected], he was so great to work with. They send you a huge packet of different sayings, different papers, table tents..etc that you can use as part of your favors. They print out your saying on whatever you choose, in whatever font & on whatever paper you choose for free. We took the smaller paper, scrolled them ourselves.
Ribbon: Beau-coup.com: A+ Found my accent color finally after searching forever, the ribbon came in great and looked beautiful.
Boxes: Uline.com: A+ I use them at work and came across the 2x2 white boxes for the cheapest price I could find anywhere else. They came in like 2 days later.
Hershey Kisses- Bulkfoods.com A+ Always scary when you order from these sites but they came in perfectly, efficiently and fresh!! Great Prices too!!!

I LOVE LOVE Rita, she was SO great to work with!!! She always checked up on me to see where we stood with wording, decision etc.. and always made suggestions whenever I asked. I probably drove her crazy w/ changing my mind 100 times but she was always quick to respond and update my contract. My Invites came exactly when she said they would, they were absolutely beautiful and they were a GREAT price!! I love my invites!!!!

I can’t even begin to tell you how FAST and efficient Kathy was. She was great to work with and I had contacted her in a panic like a week before the wedding b/c I forgot to order these and she literally turned them around in a day. I recommend to not to ivory thread on white….it was difficult to read but that was my fault…I wanted something soft and I should’ve went with a lighter pink instead of ivory but either way they were a great price and they were beautiful.

I LOVED my ribbon wands, I loved them so much that I bought more. They were a little expensive but so worth using for beautiful pictures. They had my EXACT accent colors, they came in quickly and perfect. You do have to put them together yourself.

I bought vellum….made a template in Quark….the used double sided tape to wrap the vellum around. I have to tell you…when I saw them all lite up on my tables the day of the wedding, they looked GORGEOUS and they were so easy to make, I was thrilled! I bought the water cyclinders on accident…but I have to tell you….buying floating candles was cheaper then buying pillars! (I also got the floating candles from save-on-crafts)
