Amazing Vendors + Fantastic Venue = Perfect Wedding Day

Flowerfield:
If you want to get married in paradise, get married at Flowerfield. We booked our wedding about 3.5 months before the actual date and as a result, everything moved incredibly fast. However, it was not stressful or chaotic in any way. I worked with Karen and she was AWESOME!!!!! The best salesperson in the world. No matter what we asked for, she accommodated us and was always checking in to make sure everything was okay. On the day of the wedding, Andy was my maitre'd and Danielle was my lady in waiting and they made it so easy. All I had to do was walk down the aisle, say 'I Do' and dance the night away. If you have seen this place in the daytime and think it is amazing, wait until you see it at night. It only gets better. When selecting a venue, we wanted a place that offered multiple picture options, where the food was amazing, with beautiful ceremony, cocktail and reception areas (most places only have one great area but the other areas are lacking). My husband and I searched all of Long Island, Staten Island and even looked in New Jersey and hands down, Flowerfield is a bride's dream and the service is as amazing as the place is beautiful. Now that you know the place is beautiful, let me tell you about the food. You will never find anything better and there is soooo much of it. Our guests all thought that the the cocktail hour was the main course because there was so much food. Then there was an appetizer and when they thought they couldnt eat anymore, dinner came out. Now you might think they would stop eating after this...not at all!! When the dessert trays, warm apple strudel and waffle stations were opened, they kept eating. The beauty of this is that with dancing and just celebrating the night away, our guests were able to work up an appetite for every course. My huband and I got a sample plate with all the entrees and everything was absolutely divine

Brett Matthews Photography:
Brett Matthews is an amazing photography studio. Every member of their staff is warm and helpful and they take the most amazing photos. We first noticed their work after visiting a few wedding reception locations and it seemed we would always gravitate to their albums as the pictures were so captivating and the colors so vivid and rich that it was as if you were there. They treated us like family from the minute we walked into the studio and was responsive every step of the way. I would recommend that everyone uses them for weddings, engagements, births or any function as their work is second to none. They are incredibly professional and punctual and the best part is that after taking engagement shots, the photographer spends time going through every picture with you to understand your likes and dislikes to ensure your wedding day is perfect and ours was definitely perfect

Pedestals Floral Decorators:
We worked with Robert and he is an absolute genious. My husband and I had an orchard theme for our wedding and we knew we didnt want to use the typical arrangements we had seen at various florists and at other weddings. When we entered Pedestals, we saw many beautiful pieces but we knew we wanted to create something new. We described our vision to Robert and when we saw our sample, we were absolutely blown away. He is so creative and captured our dreams perfectly. Our guests loved it and even the staff at our venue said they had never seen centerpieces so beautiful. They took our breath away with every piece - centerpieces, bouquets, cocktail area. To think that I accidentally came across this florist and decided to go into the studio...I am so glad I did.

Teresa Lang Designs (Invitations):
There are many places to get your invitations done in New York but I found that they were all so incredibly expensive so I did a search on wedding invitation vendors throughout the United States (I know, that is a bit risky) and I came across Teresa. I emailed her we scehduled a phone conversation and based on our conversation and the samples she sent me, I decided to use her. Her work is beautiful and really inexpensive. Her website is www.teresalangdesign.com She has now done invitations for 4 of my friends and we were all pleased with her work and her genuine compassion and excitement about our day. When you are planning your wedding, you want to feel that your vendors are as excited as you are about making your day perfect and Teresa does a great job of that. She is timely and her work is accurate. Absolutely no complaints

Wedding Salon of Manhasset:
I made appointments at only two wedding dress salons - The Wedding Salon of Manhasset and Kleinfelds and the first appointment was with the Wedding Salon. The quaintness of the salon was misleading because I assumed they would have only a few dress selections and that I wouldnt find anything. THis is definitely not so as they have many gorgeous dresses and regardless of your personality or taste, they have a dress in their salon that will make you look like royalty. I walked in the Salon and I looked around and when my salesperson (Veronica - amazing!!!!) asked my what I was looking for, I gave her a vague idea because I was unsure. She allowed me to go through the salon (Vera Wang and main salon area) and pick dresses and she picked a few for me. The dress I picked was the 3rd dress I tried on and she was the one who picked it. The dress was so beautiful that I cancelled my appointment with Kleinfelds and never looked at another dress. What I loved about working with her is that she did not force her opinions on me and my thoughts and opinions guided the sale. She never asked me about my budget but I also noticed she never grabbed any outrageously priced dresses. I have heard many say that following the purchase of anything associated with their wedding, the service declined significantly. This was definitely not the case with the Wedding Salon and as I watched the faces of the brides who visited the salon, all of us left every visit at peace and excited to put our dress on again. The salon is filled with beautiful dresses and the seamstresses (mine was Kasey and she has magic hands) are all so amazingly talented and you will never have concerns about your dress being destroyed. I have never looked better than I did on my wedding day, in that dress. I know I only get married once but I am really trying to figure out how I can wear my dress again and again. The best feeling is knowing that if I had to do it all over again, I would still pick my dress because it was made exactly for me

What dress did you get? How long did that take to come in? I really love Wedding Salon Of Manhasset. They are so nice. Any pics?

Thank you so much. Unfortunately I dont have any pictures of the dress at this moment but it is basically the same dress that Khloe Kardashian wore for her wedding. It is a gorgeous dress and while it seems simple, it hugs the body in an incredibly elegant manner and the bottom of the dress is beautiful. Every single person loved the dress. I ordered my dress at the end of May and it was in the salon by the end of August. As soon as I get some pictures, I will post them for everything

That's really amazing. Did you have to pay a rush fee for the dress? They've told me to order my dress in November for my wedding in June to get it safely.

I don't want to order early because I'm still trying to lose weight and am pushing it as far as I can.

That's great that you were able to get Flowerfield so quickly! I thought they'd for sure be booked up. That place is massive! My party would only fill 1/4 of the cocktail hour room I think.

They did comment that they might have to add a rush fee but I was not willing to pay a rush fee and it all worked out. I think you can wait until February if you want but the fact is that they build in an alterations fee, regardless of the work that needs to be done, so why not just order the dress, at your current size and make alterations make the changes after you lose the weight (let them work for your money). I will swear by their alterations team, especially Kasey so I would not be concerned about ordering your dress now. Another thing is that, as brides, we are so paranoid and we try to lose weight until the moment we walk down the aisle, regardless of our size. I am yet to see a bride look bad in any of the dresses I have seen tried on at the Salon. Cant wait to hear about the dress you purchase

Congratulations! So glad you had a great experience with the Bridal Salon. My daughter also had the same experience with their saleswoman and we bought an amazing Vera Wang gown there.
