April 1st Wedding - Hamlet Willow Creek Review

Just wanted to post a quick review on the Hamlet Willow Creek. I've been registered w/ LIW for about a year now but do not post on the forums because I am pretty lazy...However, I have benefited from past brides reviews and suggestions regarding vendors etc and feel that it is my duty to post a review for all you ladies on the site.

We had our wedding at the HWC on April 1st and it was amazing. We had a wonderful time, the hall looked magnificent, crisp, clean, elegant, modern yet classic. Exactly what we were looking for. Like the majority of the brides on this site, we booked before it was open and gambled with this day. We made the perfect choice. Barbara was great, she was very helpful and the day ran smoothly. The food was delicious and the presentation divine. We have been getting many compliments. When we went to pay our final balance we found out that our event was the first one of the season, that they had been training staff etc. So we were a little nervous, but it really turned out to be fantastic! The cocktail hour was great....for food we had the shrimp/risotto for first course - the mixed green salad with citrus vinaigrette and goat cheese for second course - then the filet mignon, horseradish crusted chicken, & swordfish as entrees - for dessert, we had the cheesecake mousse in the chocolate basket with berries (this was a huge hit, I heard that people were stealing them from other tables!) We had the chocolate fountain...I heard this was nice as well.....and the cake was beautiful.....it was pale pink and really breathtaking..........

I can't believe it is over. It was the most wonderful day, I had a lot of fun, enjoyed every minute of it and would love to do it all over again. For those ladies considering the HWC or those already getting married there....you shouldn't worry as it will be wonderful! Please feel free to FM me with any questions you have.

We also use Spin Around Sound (everyone was on the dance floor the whole night)
American Luxury Limo Bus (Rey was great and so was the waitress)
Classic Coach (shuttle was clean and prompt)
Islandia Marriott (Block of rooms and hospitality suite, the catering manager and special event sales person were very helpful) ....
Petals and Ink (Jenn, was wonderful, the flower arrangements were amazing, I also used her for invitations. Since this is her own business she really took her time to attend to our needs and it showed with the quality of her work).
Patken Photography and Video ( we had Vinnie as our photographer and Andy as our videographer, they were great, funny, helpful, energetic, and really knew what they were doing! Can't wait to get our pictures back.
Bayshore Bridal for my dress. This was the only vendor that I had a problem with. They ordered my dress incorrectly the first time around and then I had some problems with some of my fittings. I finally found a sales/seamstress there that I liked and that was helpful and everything was smooth from there on......
Mens Warehouse for tuxedos. ( we had a large bridal party and many from different locations, they had no problems renting their tuxes....)
Jenn/Oksana (they were amazing, I can't say anything that has not been said before...they are professionals and really good at what they do)
Sewtique - in Grotton CT. ( I wore and heirloom mantilla and needed someone to clean and restore it. I sent it here and they did a wonderful job. I was nervous but I didn't have many options for people to send it to. I was very happy w/ the results)

In sum it was a wonderful day and no words can describe how much fun and how happy we were. We went to Maui and Kauai on our honeymoon and booked it on our own...it was truly great.....good luck to all the ladies out there...I hope you find this review helpful....and thanks for all of the help that you have provided with your posts......

Glad to hear that you did a great wedding. I cant wait to see your proofs once you get them back. Vinny from Patken is doing our wedding also and I would love to see his work.
