Hi All-

I am frequent lurker, seldom poster- but know I found the review boards helpful when choosing vendors, etc. So here goes:

FOX HOLLOW- 10/10
Leading up to my wedding at the Fox Hollow- I was a little nervous with the swap in staff, and some reviews that had been posted on here...IT WAS ALL FOR NAUGHT! THe day was amazing, the staff at the Fox Hollow WERE AWESOME (Jennifer- BA, Sam- Maitre'D) and Angel was GREAT in the planning process. The Bartenders too, were very personable & professional...

We didn't have some of the issues that past brides may have had, the food was yummy (I actually got to sit and eat the meal), and from what people are saying, the cocktail hour food (in restaurant) was excellent- the service great...everything was exactly the way I had imagined (including ice sculpture that Angel made happen from my personal, and very rudimentary design)! Future Fox Hollow brides have nothing to worry about! The Winter Garden Pavilion is a beautiful room...and our band fit perfectly in it. We had 12 tables of 11 or 12 at a table and it was not 'tight' at all.

ELITE CLUB BAND 9/10
(Elite Music Inc., in Garden City)
AWESOME BAND, AWESOME voices...we had 6 pieces. Lead singers were unbelievable and really played to 'our crowd'. Best thing is that they played through everything and took maybe two short breaks...AND you don't need to feed them.
The only reason they are getting a 9 instead of a 10 is b.c. they didn't know the one song that I wanted to hear..I had given them a fairly short play list..but had specified that the only song they needed to know was like 'our family theme song' (which they didn't know). THAT ASIDE- I would highly recommend them to anyone!

12th NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
Again, I am so glad that we went with Dom (and his brother who was second photographer). They were extremely personable and very go with the flow. They knew it was important for us to make 1/2 of our cocktail hour and adjusted our time schedule to make sure that happened...I am excited to see the pix we took..and am sure that all came out great.

FLOWERS: BURTON'S 10/10
Beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. They were on time and there was no stress...I will post pictures when I get them back. We had a mix of tulips, peonies, berries for bouquets and then high centerpieces with calla lillies, peonies, some branches and some bear grass for WGP at Fox Hollow.

We decided at the last minute to get a video at the last minute and ARE SO GLAD WE DID! The day goes by sooo fast...
The videographer (Pete) was unobtrusive, and I am sure caught a lot of good memories that would otherwise have been missed. On time & professional. I will review again later once I receive video...

CHAIR COVERS: Jamila at PARAGON DESIGNS
10/10
Jamila is great, her chair covers are beautiful and easy to remove (velcro bows). Her price is right as well...FM me for more info. Again, another vendor I would highly recommend
They made the WGP at the Fox Hollow look great..for anyone that has been in the room- the chairs are a bit worn.

MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING
10/10
My dress was 'custom-made' and bridesmaid dresses were bought from there as well. Yon is great and I have nothing but good things to say about her abilities...

TUXEDO PARK (CArle Place) 10/10
I can honestly say that although the tuxes were probably a bit more $$ than other stores, I had no worries about this part of the wedding planning (which I have heard some horror stories about tuxes)...professional service, tuxes were very nice..only thing was that we had to bring them back day after wedding (kind of a pain in the butt)- don't know if this is standard practice or not.

OK- sorry so long. But wanted to make sure I gave all the information. I don't think I forgot anything. Feel free to FM me if you have any questions about any of the vendors above.

Updated with pix..see link. For those at Fox Hollow..there is pix of WGP with chair covers...(in background)..but it might give you a good feel for what it would look like.

You look beautiful! Thanks for the review!!! It was great to hear that the WGP wasn't too tight with that many tables (I think all of the brides in that room have that worry at times) and that the staff and food was great! you have FM about the seat covers!
