THE BOURNE MANSION

A+ – Steve and his staff were professional and on-top of everything. The food was so yummy and the presentation, beautiful! Plus, the setting there is just breathtaking! We couldn’t have asked for anything better!

PETALS FLORAL AND PARTY DESIGN, Locust Valley

A+ - Diana is AMAZING. She made sure that everything was perfect on the day of the wedding. She spent a lot of time before the wedding with me selecting the types of flowers for the centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and decoration of the mansion. For no additional cost, Diana created a centerpiece (after discussing what I thought I wanted) and then we worked on it some more so it would be exactly what I wanted – the same went with the bouquets. She also did a site visit with me to discuss the layout of the mansion and give me her advice on what to put where. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She’s calm, professional, and an excellent florist.

AUDREY’S BAKERY

A+ - Tom is such a great baker. Our cake not only looked beautiful but it tasted really good as well. Several of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had! Tom also helped us with the brunch food the day after the wedding – the quiches, cakes and treats he made then were also so tasty. I’d highly recommend using Audrey’s as well.

DEBROAH ROTH, Interfaith Minister

A+ - Our ceremony was personalized and perfect. If you’re an interfaith couple, I strongly suggest checking out Deborah. (She was named a “top trendsetter” by Modern Brides.) We LOVED our ceremony and wouldn’t change a thing about it. Deborah is cool and calm and makes sure that the ceremony is about your love for one another, nothing else. She lives in NYC but traveled to Oakdale for our ceremony. http://www.spiritedliving.com/

P’S OF PAPER

A+ - Patty was a wonderful contact during the entire wedding planning phase. She created our save the dates, addressed the envelopes for them and our wedding invites (on the computer), created our place cards, table numbers, and stationary for me for thank yous after the shower. We’ve also used her to create custom stationary as gifts for my sisters and mother-in-law. She was wonderful to deal with and very reasonable! HANK LANE – THE DOWNTOWN BAND*

This is a mixed review for us. The music for the ceremony and cocktail hour was perfect. During the first 15 minutes of our reception, there were three mix-ups:
1. our dads were to introduce us instead of the bandleader – but the bandleader forgot even though our dads were standing in front of him…
2. . the introduction to our wedding song was eliminated – and we had a choreographed dance!
3. we requested the band play the Hoare and not the Tarantella – they played both…
With months of planning, there’s no reason for these mistakes. However, the do play really well together.
So,
D – for lack of attention to detail on the day of the wedding.
A – sound on the day of the wedding.

M&V LIMO*
D –No air conditioning – on a hot, humid July day - not really what we were looking for…

*FYI - Both of these vendors were contacted on July 29th regarding the problems that I mentioned – and as of August 20th I still have not received a reply…
