Bridgeview Review
I have not used this site much over the 2 years I have been engaged, but I wanted to share my reviews for future brides looking for information.Bridgeview Yacht Club: A+
Everything was absolutely amazing. The moment the limo pulled up to Bridgeview, the bridal attendant and maitre'd's were there opening the doors for us. They literally made our evening as flawless as possible. As busy as Kathy was, every single detail was in place - exactly as we discussed, going above and beyond.
Bakery (I think it is called Sweet Things Bakery): D
When I originally went in to my consultation the woman behind the counter showed me 2 options and said that was it, those were my options - anything else would be extra. I was surprised, but I worked with her to come up with a design for the cake. I wanted a very simple cake - ivory with buttons down the back and a ruffle (buttons to resemble the back of my wedding gown). We drew a sketch, I chose the red velvet and white chocolate filling. On the day of the wedding, imagine my surprise when 4 giant buttons are scattered on the cake. Between the flower and the buttons, I was very disappointed. My maitred so kindly removed the buttons and garnished it with a calla lilly. The cake itself was nothing special. I am a big fan of Cake Man Raven in Brooklyn, which is where I have had many delicious red velvet cakes and would go there in a heartbeat over this bakery.
Glenmar Photography: A-
Our photographer and videographer were Glenmar Studios in Roslyn. I was not thrilled with the way our engagement shoot came out, we were photographed against what looked like the wall of a basement. Regardless our wedding day photos came out fabulous. I have not gotten the video back yet, so review to come but the photos themselves are just beautiful. We took photos on the boardwalk in Long Beach and Alison captured the sky soo perfectly. Looks unreal!
Joseph Christopher Salon, Bellmore: A+
I had the pleasure of being styled by Olga. Olga was great to work with. She was honest about the styles I was interested in, and explained what would or wouldn't work. My trial went beautifully and I could not have been happier with my makeup and hair the day of. I did not want an updo or airbrushed makeup, I wanted to look like myself and Olga made that possible while making me look glamorous. I brought in a lot of the products I swear by, and Olga had no problem using them. Being that the salon is close to my house, all of the bridesmaids and my mom thought that everything was perfect!
My Dress/Veil: A
This was designed and made by my Grandma. I absolutely loved the gown and veil. She put so much effort and minute details into the pieces. For my last fitting, the dress fit like a glove, but I must have lost some weight because it was a bit big the day of.. :( Other than that it was perfect
Shoes/J.Crew: A-
Super comfortable and adorable and I can wear them again!
Clutch/Bottega Veneta: A+
In love with this clutch, I wanted to ditch the flowers and just hold onto my clutch.
Terranova Florist: B+
All of the girls flowers were exactly what we discussed. They looked beautiful. I wanted simple and modern. The centerpieces looked fantastic. My bouquet was beautiful but I would have liked it to be a bit fuller, with more hydrangeas. I had expected a bouquet of mostlt hydrangeas with a touch of tulips and roses, with no greenery. This was my fault because I did not make myself as clear as I should have been. Additionally, the flower for my cake did not go with the theme of the rest of the wedding, and I just wasn't happy with that particular flower. Overall the service at Terranova was superb. They went above and beyond, and used their expertise to work with what we wanted.
Menu/Programs: Paperslam NYC: A+
Excellent job printing! Fast turnaround and always a pleasure to work with!
Photobooth/Interactive Party: C-
This would be an A, because they were great to work with and we love our guestbook with all of the photos in it. But we cannot get in contact with them. We were supposed to get a CD a week after the wedding and still have not heard back after calling and emailing nor received the cd. :(
Executive Limousine: B
An absolute pleasure to work with. Everything went smoothly. We loved our driver, everyone was punctual - we even got the runner and bottles of champagne for free since we spent so much money. We had specified 2 shuttles home from the party, when only one showed up, we were not able to get ahold of anyone to get another. So my groom and I, and his parents were left stranded - with a few other straphangers and wounded up getting cabs instead - which was a pain, but we made it!
Bridesmaid Dresses/Bridal Reflections: C-
A terror to work with. Our dresses were Alvina Valenta babydoll dresses. Every girls dress came in completely oversized, so oversized it was laughable. Awful customer service, I have no idea how they have been in business for so many years. I do not recommend them.

Very pretty! I hope you post even more pics! Your church, from what I can see, reminds me alot of mine, the mural behind the altar.Loved the bridesmaid dresses! So cute...definately could be worn again.
