John at Ballroom Dance Long Island

(Posted this on the birdes helping brides but think it probably belongs here.)

Just wanted to post a recommendation for John from Ballroom Dance Long Island. My husband and I had 5 lessons with him prior to our wedding (we're from out of the area and would have loved to do more if we'd had more time!!) and it was so worth it. He made up a little first dance routine for us that was really cute - simple and looked very nice - not too practiced or anything like that. He's a great guy - lots of fun. He also spent some time on some other dance moves with us when we had it. Very accommodating about working around our schedules and fitting us in whenever he could, considering the out of town circumstances.

Also, my mom had him at my bridal shower - he did some simple salsa moves with everyone and it seemed to be a hit. I find showers to be really boring and this was a nice change.

Well worth it!

I use John also. It's either $75 a lesson or $280 for 4. It's really not too bad and he's terrific!

Re: John at Ballroom Dance Long Island

I'm so excited! I just bought FH a gift certificate for dance lessons for his birthday. He actually said he wanted to do it! I can't wait!

Re: John at Ballroom Dance Long Island

Not sure on price but above posting sounds about right (my mom had bought us lessons as a gift - she did four so it was probably that package.) My whole family has taken lessons from John and he even came to watch our first dance. He actually choreographed a little routine which went really well (although I was so nervous!)
