July 26, 2008 Wedding- Chateau La Mer, DUET, All Star Limo, Bridal Reflections, Little Flower shop, Satisfaction Guaranteed Entertainment!

I've only discovered this website 2 months before my wedding and I never really got a chance to post anything- I did end up reading the reviews though and thank god I found all good ones of my vendors. I figured that the least I can do was write a review of all of my vendors to help the future brides!

My gown and bridesmaid dresses: I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and I had a great experience-everyone was friendly and they helped me find the exact dress that I had pictured! I also bought my jewellery there. The bridesmaid dresses came on time and there were no problems with the alterations. So, anyone who is getting there dress there has no worries!

My mom's gown- She got it at Adrienne's in Islip- she also had a great experience and the alterations were perfect.

Cake- Black Forest Bakery- the cake was delicious and I loved the way they designed it!

Flowers- Little Flower Shop- The flowers were gorgeous and lasted the whole day perfectly- they were really professional with delivering them on time and setting everything up. They even brought the bouttonieres to the hotel where the groomsmen were staying!

Limos- All Star - They are the absolute best! I seriously am really happy we chose them- the cars were immaculate, the drivers were really nice and professional and they came on time- even a little earlier- and when I told them I thought I needed an extra limo, they came with an extra one the day of the wedding!

DJ- Satisfaction Guaranteed Entertainment (SGE)- When I first met Jack, me and my husband knew that he was perfect! We are both Italian and we wanted a DJ that would speak Italian and play some Italian songs throughout the wedding. He knew exactly the type of songs we wanted and he was able to pick the songs based on what the crowd was like. He had the dance floor packed all the time and he had such a professional appearance- we even got the percussionist which proved to be a hit!

Photographer and Videographer- DUET- Alberto's Team - They are absolutely AMAZING! They took the best pictures and they were all over the place. I got lots of compliments about how they were there for every shot. They also stood to the very end of the party and got every little part of the wedding. They were really creative with the shots and I don't know how I can narrow down the pictures to pick for the album. They ended up taking over 3,000 pictures! The other great thing about them was they were really friendly- they had a smile on their face for the whole entire day. Whoever is using them will be more than happy!

Chateau La Mer- A little background story- My husband is from Italy and I moved to Italy to stay with him for a couple of years. We got engaged there, and then decided to have a wedding in Long Island. The one thing he told me was that he wanted the hall to be on the water. I then started looking, and found Chateau La Mer's website. When we came back to NY to live, we checked it out and we immediately both knew that we would have it there. The views are beautiful, the room with the domed ceiling is gorgeous and, well, the boat entrance definitely sold us! We went to a tasting too and the food was so delicious! We had no worries, and on the day of the wedding it was even better than we had imagined. We got lucky with the weather and we were able to have an indoor and outdoor cocktail hour. Nick was our MaitreD and he was on top of everything. I don't think I've ever seen a staff that was as attentive as they were. My bridal attendant was amazing as well! (I don't remember her name- but she was petite and had blond hair and always had a smile on her face!) The food was so good, but I wish I brought more back with me because I wanted to try more of it (you know, the day of the wedding you don't really eat ). The Viennese hour was also really great- again, I wish I brought even more dessert home because I was dreaming of it the next day! I almost can't wait until someone else I know gets married there so I can be more relaxed and also be able to eat more of the food there! For anyone who is getting married there- they will exceed your expectations and will make your wedding day memorable!

***Edited to add video from Duet: I just got the video back today- first of all, they are really efficient at getting everything done, including the time to make the video! I gave them little input to how I wanted it- I had already seen the pictures and the beautiful results so I figured that they obviously have a better idea of what to do....well I was right! It was absolutely perfect! I can go on and on about how incredibly perfect it came out! They got all of the right moments and synchronized the songs to our emotions,our faces, and to what was going on- I had never seen video samples before from them, so I had literally no idea how it would come out, but if anyone has booked them- all I can say is relax, you're going to be extremely happy!!!

Also, I have to say, after looking again at my video, Chateau La Mer really went over the top on everything; food, organization (the Matre' d made everything flow smoothly and so did the bridal attendant) and provided that special touch for the wedding. Also Satisfaction Guaranteed Entertainment (SGE) was amazing....again, after seeing the video I had to say something about how they were because they had me dancing again while watching the video!!!!

never mind -- I just saw your album... WOW!!!! Everything looked amazing. I'm also using Duet, All Star Limo and the Little Flower Shop.
