First I’d like to start off by thanking NYC/LIW and all of the girls who helped & welcomed me into this site with open arms!! You all helped me in ways you can’t even imagine!!!

Ok here it goes...my LONG overdue review:

Weather
Sunny and slightly cool - A
We got very lucky since it was raining a few days before the wedding and on our wedding day it actually called for rain as well. I woke up to a clear sky and was VERY happy!!! It got chilly later in the evening, but I was so pre-occupied with it being my wedding day, I didn’t really care.



Florist
Yours Truly - B
Liz was very patient throughout the entire planning process. I had changed my mind so many times on what type and color of flowers I wanted, but she was completely nderstanding. The day of the wedding she was a little late, but the bouquets, bouts, etc were exactly what I pictured. However, the only complaint I had was that she had forgotten one of the most important things I asked of her. She forgot to attach my mini frame with my Dad’s picture on to my bouquet. I was pretty upset, especially since I had explained to her the significance of it. However, once it was brought to her attention, she RAN to get it and everything was perfect!! The CP’s were SO beautiful, everyone was raving about them!!!! I was completely thrilled with the way everything turned out minus the mishap.

Damian was FANTASTIC!! All of our guests were talking about how great he was. Everyone was dancing ALL night and he played the perfect mix of music. He’s also like a brother to me, which made it even more special. He also surprised me with song for he and I to dance to, that made me cry!!! I’m so happy we went with him!!


Ceremony/Reception

This was the 3rd place we looked at and didn’t look anywhere else once we saw it from the outside!! We really loved the grounds and were looking forward to having our wedding outside on the Gazebo. Tom also gave us a GREAT price. The price was also great for a sat night in June and you get SO MUCH for your money. We had our ceremony there too, but ended up having to have it inside since the weather got really cool towards the evening. It turned out great and ended up having a very romantic look to it, since the lighting was dim and it was by a fireplace. Everyone was so impressed and kept coming up to us saying how beautiful it was.

The food was incredible. Our guests said the cocktail hour was unbelievable and had so
many different things to choose from. Dinner was amazing too! They gave us each one of everything and our guests were able to have seconds if they wanted! The cake was DELICIOUS!! I will admit we were worried because at the tasting we weren’t crazy about
the cake. However, I don’t know if it was the combination we chose, or just the fact that I had been made fresh..but it was DELCIOUS! For the cake we got chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting and cannole filling. It was DELISH!! Everyone loved it. In fact..some people took seconds!

We looked at 3 photographers – 2 studios, one independent photographer. As soon as we met with Marianela, we knew she was the one!! We were trying to stay away from the traditional wedding photos and wanted someone who would do more of what we wanted, instead of giving us a schedule. We met and clicked instantly!! We booked her on the spot, and also booked her for engagement shots as well.

On the day of the wedding, she actually brought an assistant with her, which we were thrilled about because we had only paid for her. Just a little extra perk she gave us, because she liked us so much. She was so non-intrusive, and we LOVED that about her!! Honestly, I can’t even remember seeing her at the wedding, which is exactly what we wanted!! She also has us featured on her website with our engagement and wedding pictures!!

We found Jose on line and decided to meet
with him, because we were truly amazed at the prices he was offering. Once we met with him, we booked him immediately! On the day of the wedding, it just so happened, he and Marianela knew each other so they were setting up shots
for each other and worked GREAT together!! We just got our video a few months ago, and it really is so amazing!!!!!!! Jose was raving on the choice of music we chose for our recap. He loved it so much, he put us on his website. He also threw
in some extra stuff because we recommended people to him. We can’t stop watching it. At this point I think it’s safe to say we are obsessed! We love it and are SO happy with the job he did as a one man show!

Bridal Jewelry (Tiara and Earrings)
Thomas Knoell - A+
Thomas Knoell is so incredibly talented!! He is so sweet too. I didn’t expect for him to sit with
me on my first visit, but he did and he spent
over an hour with me helping me pick the perfect head piece and earrings!! I chose “Destiny”
with crystal and colorado topaz accent stones. I also got the “Small Dream” earrings. I also purchased earrings for my maid of honor that were absolutely GORGEOUS! After I picked everything up his store, I couldn’t wait to wear it!! Everything was BEAUTIFUL! I will be passing this on to my daughter!!




Dresses: Bridal Gown (EOM) & BM Dresses (Lazaro)
Bridals by Roma – Clifton New Jersey - F
I had a horrible experience with them. At first when I went to look at gowns they were incredibly helpful. I found my dream dress and immediately decided to get it. Once I chose the gown, and started going for fittings, that’s when their true colors showed. Roma (the owner) is VERY NASTY!!! They really were unprofessional and quite honestly for the amount of money I spent
on my dress I think they could have been a heck of a lot nicer than they were. The ONLY compliment I will give is to my seamstress who was VERY nice and helpful. She even threw in some free stuff for me because of all the trouble they gave me. My dress was Eve of Milady ballgown, 2006.

Bridesmaids dresses were by Lazaro. They came in when expected and they were all correct. They looked so amazing on all the girls!! They
all loved the dress and the colors were gorgeous.

Maid of Honors dress was by Watters & Watters and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

I ordered a 3 tier cathedral veil. At first I was afraid, but it ended up being BEAUTIFUL! It was cheap and exactly what I wanted!



Tuxedos
Allerton Formal Wear - A+
DH did not want me to see what he had chosen since he couldn’t see my dress. They were really nice when he went there to pick out tuxes for the guys and himself. They also gave him a discount since he and his friends were Police Officers and Firemen. He ordered everything and worked with the owner of the store. I was happy I asked what color his tie was because he had chosen Ivory instead of White. The guys did looked great and the colors matched perfectly with my girls dresses!!

Reverend Louis was fantastic. We found him on line, and he was so easy to communicate with. We were skeptical at first that things would not work out, but he really came through. The ceremony was personalized by us and it was really beautiful. We also included my son in the ceremony which was very touching, and moved everyone to tears!! We definitely recommend him!

My mom, MOH and I have been getting our hair done here for years! The place is very small, but they gave us a great price! Griselda did some of my BM’s as well as my flower girls. Myrna did me, my mom, my MOH and my mother in law and their hair came out GREAT!! and my sis and Lisa did the BM's. Everyone loved their hair!!

Oksana is THE BEST!!! She arrived on time and got started right away. She also fell in love with my flower girls in the process. She did three BM's, my MOH, my mom, mother in law and me. Everyone looked GORGEOUS!! I don’t have to say much, because a TON of girls have used her, and know she is GREAT!! I HIGHLY recommend Oksana!!!

Originally I wanted to have this as a surprise for DH, but I ended up telling him about it. We found this place on a whim, and they did an absolutely FANTASTIC job!! Everyone loved watching them roll cigars and everyone (including) women were taking cigars and smoking them. We had them come after dinner and it worked out perfectly!! DEFENITELY recommend them!!
