My Best Advice to Future Brides
- When picking a vendor, always go with the your gut
- If there is something you absolutely want done on your day, make sure you have your DOC or a family member or close friend on top of it
- DO NOT let anyone rain on your parade and ruin your day
- There’s always someone photographing you - Make sure you keep a smile on your face


North Ritz Club
From the moment I walked into the NRC, I knew this was the place where we were going to have our wedding. NADINE has been nothing but phenomenal throughout. The tasting was well organized and the food was DELICIOUS. On the day of - they were outstanding!!!!!! People are still raving about the food and service. As the bride, I did nothing - they had everything taken care of for me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!



Florist- Flower Barn
I met with Mike at Flower Barn and we clicked immediately. Flower Barn has a homey feeling and you are not a number with them. On the afternoon when my Bok’s came in - I couldn’t believe it - They were absolutely beautiful. My CP’s were outstanding. They also decorated our cake. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! One of my friends told me that she got 6 vases of flowers out of one CP - I couldn’t have asked for more from Flower Barn - They were truly one of the biggest highlights of my day!!!!!!!!!!!!









Day Of Coordinators - A Modern Day Affair
What would I have done without my DOC’s????? Originally I didn’t want to spend the money, however, having A Modern Day Affair with me from the time I booked them up until the wedding was one of the best decisions I made. Always prompt responses to my emails and phone calls, and soooooooo knowledgeable about all things wedding. On the day of - OMG - I couldn’t have asked for more. They took care of every possible need I could have. My day would not have been the same without them there.



Favors - Afresh Approach
We met with Jeanne in January, 2010, and DH decided then and there - he wanted TRUFFLES. We could not have made a better decision. Her truffles are all hand-made, have no preservatives and are TO DIE FOR. They took care of wrapping and delivering all of my favors to NRC - not a thing for me to worry about. And - as a side note - she and her husband are some of the nicest people I have dealt with through this process.

Favor Tags - Inviting-You.com
I decided on these last minute. I had 3 proofs emailed to me before I could blink an eye, all of which were on target so having to chose 1 was difficult. Tags were done and sent to Afresh Approach superfast. Service is absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Hair & Makeup - Mya from Cosmetic Artistry
I was having a difficult time trying to find someone to do just the bride only and would travel. I went for my trial - and she nailed it. I didn’t need to look any further!!!!!!! On the day of, Mya was great. She has such a calming personality, especially great to have when you have a room full of people. I couldn’t have been happier!!!!!!!



Photo/Video - Thomas Paul - Disappointment

Invites - Bleu Diamond Events
- Communication was horrible
- Appointments were cancelled last minute
- Didn’t show up on time
- Direction cards had to be redone because address was left off
- Out of addressing 94 addressed envelopes, 16 were wrong (the first time)
- Out of the 16 corrected addressed envelopes, 5 were wrong (the second time)
- RSVP’s were not numbered - as I was told they would be
- The monograms on the belly band were not centered and not layered correctly (see album http://www.liweddings.com/community/album/?ID=32087)
- The pocketfold envelopes had black and/or smudgy fingerprints on them (see album http://www.liweddings.com/community/album/?ID=32087)
As I did not feel comfortable having the vendor re-stuff the envelopes with the corrected direction cards and number the RSVP’s, I did them myself.

Officiant - Dr. Janine Burns - Ilovetodoweddings.com
After doing some review searches, I decided to book an appointment with Dr. Burns. She helped us to create a very personalized ceremony. She always responded quickly to my questions and is very easy to talk to. Our ceremony would not have been the same without her.

DJ - High Voltage - Massapequa
DH wanted input on this one. When we met with Vinnie at High Voltage, I was sick as a dog so DH took the reigns on this one - and made a great decision. Vinnie was always prompt at responding to my emails did a great job, especially with the variety of guests we had.

Grooms Cake - Marney’s Cakes
It was chocolate and it was huge! What more could one ask for!



My Dress - Lillette’s
I think I went to Lillette’s 4 times before I actually purchased my dress. This wasn’t a fun process for me as I tried on at least 80 dresses, but Lydia and Gerri at Lillette’s were angels. So PATIENT. And Caterina in alterations - great!

MOH Dresses - Helens Bridal - Commack
Ashley was a pleasure to deal with and the dresses came in quickly. Alterations were not done on premises.



Limo/Trolley - Cruise Control - Lindenhurst
On time, clean, and courteous!



Video Montage - Dancing Frog Productions
I was completely incapable of making my video montage for my first dance. I won a gift certificate from them at the 2010 shower and I absolutely loved what they did for me!!!!!!!! Great customer service!!!!!!!!!! And they sent me the cutest little frog with my DVD!!!!!!!!!!

Wedding Bands - Ballerina Jewelers, St. Thomas
We bought them on vacation. Thought it would be a great souvenir and jewelry in St. Thomas - sooooooooooo affordable!!!!!!!!

If you’re looking for a hotel that has that “homey” feeling, this is it. The accommodations were outstanding and the brunch was delicious.
