My 10/12 wedding review at Westbury Manor ....now with proofs from Proline
First I want to thank all of the girls on here. I didn't post much (as Pookieshrt, having trouble logging in as that name now for some reason) but I did read avidly. I was planning from out of town (ohio) and without you guys I don't think I could have done it.My wedding day was a wonderful. Although it was in the morning, the rain didn't faze us.
On to the vendors.
Rehearsal Lunch Cafe Zibibbo, Franklin Square A+++
I love this little place. The food is great, the atomosphere is wonderful and the area in the back by the bar holds quite a few people and it's quite private.
Jennifer from fairytale makeovers A++++
She is a magician. She was there promplty and did me and my sister's makeup and hair. Her assistant did my mom, and three of my bridesmaid's hair. She was only supposed to do two bridesmaid's hair, but at the last minute fit in the third. She's a godsend.

The flowers were absolutely beautiful. Exactly what I asked for. Everything was set up perfectly for the day of and Nothing was stressful that day. The only problem, however, was that they had said they would deliver my husband's flowers to Staten Island the day before (Saturday morning). They didn't come. So the whole rehearsal lunch we were worried about whether they would come that night. But they came and all was well.
The Inn at Fox Hollow F
I would never stay at this hotel again. I had nothing but problems with this hotel from the minute I got there. I had called two weeks before the wedding to ask if I could check in early because we had the rehearsal lunch on Saturday and I wanted to check in on Saturday before the lunch and put my Dress in the room. They said sure no problem. So that Saturday morning I loaded up my dress and went to long island (from New Jersey). When I got there they told me that my room was not ready. I told them my dress was in the car. They basically said tough luck. After much arguing they finally gave me a room, not the room I had booked for a year and a half ago. Then they proceeded to mess up checking in my bridesmaid and my mother so that their rooms were reversed (for payment purposes). The next night I was checking out of my room and then my husband and I were to check into the bridal suite (again arranged in advance). When we went to check in after the wedding they still had me registered in the other room, even though I had informed them of the change that morning. They said no problem...blah blah blah. The next morning when we went to check out, they tried to charge us for both rooms. At that time they gave us a credit. Recently, we just realized that we actually got charged for our room, my bridesmaid room and my mothers room. Unbelievable. It is a beautiful hotel, but they need to be a little more organized.
Royalty Limousine A+++
We had 4 cars. The 1967 Rolls Royce for me and my mother. The 1931 plymouth for my husband and his brother. 2 Caddy 10 passengers (1 for the bridal party and one for his family from staten island). They were a pleasure to work with. We called just a few days in advance to change the pick up time for the cars to staten island and they were very accomadating. They were all early and very pleasant drivers. My driver (Tina) was very helpful as far as keeping me clean, holding my train, etc. I would highly recommend them.
ProLine Photography and Videography A+++
I haven't seen any pictures yet, but going on the rapport with the management and the photographers. I love them! We had George and Angelica. George is wonderful fun. He did the posed pictures and he just has fun with it. Great sense of humor, but gets the job done and got us to our cocktail hour. Angelica did the photojournalistic style pictures and she was in the hotel with me when I was getting ready. You almost forgot she was there. She was really good. I can't wait to see the pictures.
Variety Music C
If I have one regret about the wedding it's that I didn't insist on a sitdown with the dj. My husband said they said it wasn't necessary. He is a good Emcee and kept the dance floor going. The part that disappointed me was at one point he played one dedication song after another and it seemed like all that was happening was everyone was watching us dance. It brought the party down. I think he realized that he got behind on the dedications and decided to get them out of the way or something. Also, a couple of songs that I had asked him to play but not announce, or make a big deal of, he made big announcements of. One in particular (my father just passed away) and I wanted to play a song in his memory, but I didn't want a big deal made out of it. Anyway, he announced it that it was in memory etc and that's exactly what I told him not to do. But other than those type of things he did a good job.
Judge William Corbett A++
He did a wonderful job. He personalized the civil ceremony and made it fit to us and our day.
Now last but not least
Westbury Manor A++++++++++
I am so thankful that I found this place. Girls if you are having your wedding here you have nothing to worry about. From the minute I got there, I didn't have to worry about a thing. My Maitre'd Raoul and my Bridal Attendant Logan were right there if I needed anything. I was devastated when it started raining, but Westbury Manor set it up beautifully for an inside ceremony. I had the garden room, so my cocktail hour was in the restaurant. It was a little cramped with all the food, but everyone enjoyed themselves. The only thing I will tell everyone, so they aren't confused. I was under the impression that I had the library all to myself. But if there is inclement weather (Rain), the Manor room gets the library for their cocktail hour and you will not have access to it until they have cleared out and they have cleaned it up. Which it about a couple of hours after your reception starts. So keep that in mind. It didn't really affect me that much, but if you are having a lot of people it might affect you. The food or what I got to eat of it was incredible and everyone has been raving about it. The service was impeccable. They made my dreams come true.

Re: My 10/12 wedding review at Westbury Manor
Congrats on what sounded like a perfect wedding! Sorry to hear about your Fox Hollow Inn experience. I stayed there once after a fundraiser I coordinated at the Fox Hollow and I had no problems and we'll be staying there again in December for FSIL's wedding. I'd defintely write a letter to Scotto Brother directly, I'm sure they'd make good on it!

Congrats and thank you so much for your review. It is always nice to hear good things about WM! Your review was very helpful. And I would definately call or write a letter about the hotel. That is unacceptable and they should do something for you!

Thanks for the review. I was happy to hear good things about WBM. I am having my reception there too. How many people did you have in the Garden room? Was it crowded.

Re: My 10/12 wedding review at Westbury Manor
I had about 115 people and it wasn't crowded at all. I originally was supposed to have about 150, but because I'm from out of town a lot of my guests couldn't make it. I'm kind of glad though because it made it nice to have the smaller group especially since it rained and we couldn't mill around outside much.Christina

I'm not sure where the movie theatre is, but I know that cafe zibibbo is by the proline office in franklin square because I just went there today and picked up my proofs and I went by it. I'll ask my husband for more detail on where it was.Christina

Re: My 10/12 wedding review at Westbury Manor ....now with proofs from Proline
Sure we had it on a saturday afternoon and it was 25 dollars pp plus tax and tip and that only included soda and tea and coffee. I didn't really plan the rehearsal dinner, my husband and my in-laws took care of that so I don't know the different plans. If you call they are very accomodating though.Christina
