My 10-14-07 review -- Villa Lombardi's, Bravura, 12th Night, Flower Barn, Mittermax, Royalty Limo, Oksana

Hey ladies!

Mark and I had such a beautiful day. We were doubly blessed that day because his Uncle, who had been on the kidney transplant list for years, got a call the morning of the wedding saying they had a kidney for the hospital and to immediately get there for surgery. We missed his physical presence that day, but no greater gift could be had!

First a piece of advise that my very good friend (soon2bmrsi) gave me -- during your cocktail hour, steal a moment with your new husband and go into your reception room, whether they are still setting up or not. Don't let anyone else follow you in -- parents or bridal party included. Take five minutes and take it all in! It's truly the only alone time you'll get that day, and once the room fills up with people you might not get to notice all the details. I am so glad we did that, it is one of the best memories of the day I will have.

Ok here goes
Dress- Beautiful Bride in Lynbrook - B
I really enjoyed working with them. I had no problems whatsoever - unfortunately some of my bridal party needed several fittings -- I felt terrible for all the back and forth they had to do. But in the end the dresses were beautiful, and all my girls were absolutely gorgeous.

Headpiece/veil - Barrons in Tri County - A+
they made shopping so easy! took the time with me unti I found just what I wanted. I highly recommend them.

Makeup -- Oksana A++
What can I say about Oksana? She is a beautiful person. I was so lucky to have her the day of the wedding. She made us all look so beautiful, and is so easy to work with. Love you Sana!

Hair - Lori from Madison Salon in Woodbury A++
I have to say I am biased, she is my cousin in law -- but she did a beautiful job. She made me feel like a princess. I loved having her with me.

Photo -- 12th Night (Dom and Geraldine) A++
I can't begin to tell you how much I love working with them. From the moment Dom got out of the car he was joking around and having fun with all of us, it made time fly! Geraldine met they guys at the church, and they all loved her! 12th Night is one of the best companies out there. From the minute the day started until they said goodbye I couldn't even think about one thing to complain about. I thank them so much!

Video -- Travis at Mittermax A++
Again, another wonderful vendor! We had so much fun with him! And at the ceremony I barely knew he was there. Through planning when I needed him for a question or two he was always there, always got back to me right away. Again, he is another person I couldn't find a complaint about. Thank you Travis!

Church - St. Rose of Lima, Massapequa A++
This is my Church since birth, and it was wonderful, and all I dreamt of since a child. I had the full choir sing, which was amazing.

Royal Brass - A++
They added such a nice touch to the church, my guests were impressed! They played along with the choir through the ceremony, and happily took pictures with us after the Mass was over. A great company to work with!

Limo - Royalty Limo - A++
I have to say I was a little nervous booking them, I had read alot of good, but a lot of bad about them. Mark really wanted them, so I agreed. I can not remember the names of the drivers -- but they were wonderful! They arrived at my house early and got me to the church early as well! The guys were friendly and funny, we enjoyed chatting during the ride. They took care of me very well at the Church, making sure all was taking care of, and even adjusted my veil before I walked down the aisle. If any of you girls are on the fence about them, I say book them for sure!

Flowers -- Flower Barn in Seaford A++
another great one! We worked with Mike, and he was fanastic all the way through the planning. Highly recommended! My flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and my centerpieces were more beautiful than I could have imagined. Everything I wanted, he did. He even decorated my cake for me!

Reception - Villa Lombardi's A++
What a beautiful place ! The staff is wonderful. Everyone was so attentive to myself, my husband and my entire bridal party. My attendant Cathy really took care of us, and it was so appreciated. The food is second to none. It was a dream come true!

DJ - Bravura Entertainment A++++++++++++
I can not say enough about these guys! What an amazing vendor to work with. I wish I could get married all over again just to work with them. We were so fortunate to have Tony and Paul MC, and Jimmy as the DJ. For cocktail hour we had Cityscapes -- the jazz ensemble. Paul is amazing -- beyond words! We got so many compliments. During the reception my dance floor was beyond packed all night. When Tony was announcing the bridal party in I could feel the energy in the room, and Mark and I could not wait to get in there! We were also forunate enough to have Paul sing during the quiet moments -- and he floored everyone in the room. This man needs a record contract! Jimmy was amazing, he played everything we asked and more! The percussionist and sax players were a big hit with the crowd. I can not recommend them enough -- I wish I could get everyone on LIW to meet with them! I thank Bravura from the bottom of my heart for making my day so wonderful -- I love you guys so much!

Awesome, Jenn! I was so looking forward to seeing your review. You looked so beautiful in your pic. I am so happy that your day was wonderful and that Mark's uncle's doctors were able to give you and Mark the best gift they could have given - that's divine intervention.

I met a few of your girls on 'our' day and they were so sweet. Even though we didn't get a chance to meet, it was nice to meet your girls so I was able to congratulate you though them :)

Great review, we booked with Bravura as well and I am happy to hear that you enjoyed them soooo much. I you have any advice about them we have cityscapes for the cocktail hour and the percussionist and pianist with male vocals. What songs did you have him sing during dinner that you really enjoyed?
