My 10/2 Royalton Wedding - The Royalton, Pastor April, Next Faze, ************** Photography, Spitz and Peck, Salon Luna and more

My Royalton wedding was truly amazing! All of the reviews about The Royalton are true. My husband and I had the best time and everyone at The Royalton helped to make it such a great day!

The Royalton - A
From the minute we saw the place, we knew we would get married there! Since we got married on a Friday, the entire wedding party hung out there all day, with plenty of food and drinks. The bridal suite is so nice and comfortable. Gerard was great to work with from the beginning and was always very helpful. All of the food was delicious, even the cake. I was disappointed that I couldn't try the cake before the wedding but it was fabulous! And, they were able to copy the picture I brought in EXACTLY - maybe even better than the pic! I was thrilled! Lots of guests told me that during the cocktail hour, waiters found them through the crowd of people to bring them more oysters, sliders, etc. if they saw them taking a lot of something - that was seriously amazing. My husband and I always had a drink in hand and at the table, and Gerard made sure to make me drink lots of water while dancing. Ashley, the bridal attendant was so cute and helped keep me relaxed. The maitre'd was amazing and even helped my husband with his bow tie. After the wedding, the staff packed up everything we brought (cake knife, picture frames, etc.) and we picked it up the next day - so nice!

Pastor April - A
She was amazing! So many of our guests went out of their way to tell how special our ceremony was and that it was the nicest ceremony they had ever been to! April helped us blend Jewish and Serbian Orthodox traditions and really got to know our story before writing our ceremony. It seemed like she knew us for years and she really understood what we wanted. Working with her was easy and enjoyable. My husband’s guy friends were even impressed with the ceremony!

Band - Faze 4, Next Faze A
They made the party!! I have gotten non-stop compliments about how versatile the band was, they played EVERYTHING. At one point, one of the singers came out to the dance floor and was singing with my friends and they loved it. The dance floor was packed the minute the band started and was packed all night until they literally packed up their instruments. My husband even sang a song and surprised me and the band worked with him to learn the song and figure out an intro - it was amazing.
The only complaint I have is that they didn't seem to listen to or care about what we wanted. I know that they know best, but we felt like our opinion didn't matter. We worked it out with the band leader, who was awesome, but the owner just rubbed us the wrong way. They were great and I would 100% recommend them.

Flowers - Spitz and Peck A-
Brian was great to work with. I felt like he understood the look I wanted and helped me achieve it while staying within the budget. He knew every little corner of The Royalton and so he knew exactly what we needed. The colors and arrangements came out gorgeous. I asked for half high and half low centerpieces and he told me he would figure out the placement the day of - the only thing I wasn't happy with was that the low looked too low, you could barely see them and I felt like the room looked a little empty. I think I made the wrong decision and should have gone with all high and I wish he would have said something. Brian really took time to make sure I liked everything - the first time I saw the sample centerpiece I wasn't thrilled, so he re-worked it in front of me and kept playing until we were happy - it was so nice of him to work with me like that and to listen to my requests. Overall, they did a beautiful job and the flowers were in great condition all night.

************** Photography - A as of now!
Hopefully we'll have our proofs in a few weeks, but so far, we're very happy with them! The guys were so great the day of and helped give my dad and bridesmaids lessons on how to take good pictures! They honestly were showing my dad how to set his camera the best way and they let my friend use their professional camera to practice! That made my dad's night! The raw footage for the video looks good and the engagement pictures came out great. We were so impressed when we first signed them and I'm really looking forward to working on the album with their staff. They are so creative!

Salon Luna - Jackie, Allison, Christi, Claire A
We've been going to Salon Luna for years and everyone there is great. Jackie did my hair the day of the wedding and sat with me for hours to make sure it was perfect. I totally trust her and she did a fabulous job. My mom, sister and aunt were all very happy with their hair, too.

Makeup - Amanda Evans A
The best! There isn't a makeup artist as good as Amanda. And not only is she talented, she has the most bubbly, friendly personality and she helped make us all laugh the day of the wedding. FM me for her number.

Dress - Davids Bridal A
Alterations - Bridal Accent A
I did not want to get my dress at DB but it was the first dress I tried on and I fell in love. The price was unbelievable and the dress was just perfect for me. Of course the hem got ripped before the wedding started, but the dress was perfect!
I was too scared to get alterations done there, so I went to BA (my mom got her dress there). The seamstress Michelle was fabulous and was meticulous with the fit.

Invitations - J and D Stationary A
Jan is great! She worked with us from the beginning to find something a little different and within our budget. I was thrilled with how the invites came out.

Bridesmaid Dress - Priscilla of Boston B+
I loved the dresses, I'm only giving a B+ because they were a little snobby to my girls and rushed us through the first appointment. They really don't give you enough time to have the girls try on some dresses – and I had already narrowed it down to two dresses. But it worked out fine and everyone looked beautiful.
