My 10/3/04 De Seversky Wedding

Ok I never did a review because this place isn't that popular yet but I think more people are getting interested in it so here it is:

De Seversky Center, Old Westbury:

This is an old converted mansion on the grounds of NYIT. They can accomodate around 130 people for a sit down dinner or up to 180 for 'mansion style' which is what I chose. It is a culinary institute so the food is very good. The house and grounds are breathtaking. I got the feeling that they were making policy as we went along because they were becoming more popular, which was annoying to me but shouldn't be a problem for anyone in the future as the policy will be set. I worked with Debbie, who was very nice and accomodating. A few minor things that could use improvement: the bartenders put out tip jars which was a big no-no; the bridal attendant did an ok job but could have been better; they served things I didn't order (although I'm almost positive that they did serve everything I did order).

Atlantic Floral Decorators:

I worked with Sharon. I think she did an amazing job and for a very reasonable price. She knew exactly what I wanted. Only issue was they didn't wrap the bouquets the way I asked for but I got over it.

Denise from Angel Eyes (Makeup):

Denise is a real professional and she does a great job. I'd use her again in a hearbeat.

Timepiece (Franklin Wayne)-Band

They ROCK. I loved them and I got a ton of compliments on them. You won't be disappointed.

CONGRATULATIONS.
EVERYTHING LOOKED BEAUTIFUL.
I loved your jewelry, the earrings were gorgeous.
And the flowers were spectaculaar escpecially the arch for the ceremony.
She must have used thousands of flowers.
The place looks awesome.
it should become more popular. Not many mansions on LI

Your pictures are fantastic. They did a great job. Everything looks beautiful.

Actually my cousin got married there in 1993. I remember it was a very classy, elegant place. One of the nicest weddings I've been to.

my dress was by a canadian designer named barbara allin (not sure of exact spelling) but I got it at 'my daughter's wedding' on middle neck road. BM dresses are after six in claret.

Any coments on the 'mansion style' reception? was there enough food with out the seated dinner? how many guests did you have?

I had a compnay Xmas party there a few years ago and it was great! Your pictures are beautiful and the hall looks great!

I love your earring and necklace! It complimented your dress very well!
