My 5/12/07 Review. Jersey wedding, but still had lots of help from LIW. Kleinflelds and now added Duet Proofs

First, I have to say that 5/12 was the most amazing day of my life. I married my best friend and solemate. It was such a fun day... All I can say is to those getting married soon... Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. You won't notice all those little details you went crazy over. Just relax and Have Fun.

LIW - A++++++++++
Thanks so much to everyone who helped. Even though I'm new to LI and still a Jersey Girl at heart, this website helped me sooo much. All you girls are amazing.

Engagement Day in Hoboken, NJ on the pier A++++++
He proposed right on the pier then we went to 3-Forty Grill where both families surprised me. It was a great night. The staff at 3-Forty was sooo sweet and even sent over a bottle of champagne.

Shower at Ruby Foos in NYC - A++++++++
If you ever eaten here you know the food is excellent. We had our own, private room that accommodated about 70 women. The food, service and place was sooo good. I love it here. I recommend anyone go just for dinner or lunch.

Bridal Party Gifts - A++++++++
We went to a few vendors, which were all so helpful. I got my girls tote bags from ebay. They were sooo nice. THen added some lotions from Bath and Body Works, flipflops from Old Navy and some lotions and mints from Victoria's Secret.
The guys got tools and a new toolbox all from Home Depot. My husband is a contractor so it totally suited him. Plus, all his friends ask him for help with their homes so now they have their own tools. LOL

Flowers, Kim from Florals by Kim A+
Flowers were beautiful, but sooo expensive. The chupah alone was a fortune. They had very small mess-ups, which was nothing. Other than that we loved them. We picked two different centerpieces. Lots of flowers and candles and the bouquets were awesome.

My Dress - Kleinfelds A++++++++, the Best

Loved my dress and all the service at Kleinfelds. It's pricey, but worth it. I felt like a queen. My dress is a Marisa. I got my dress and veil from Kleinfelds. Anna was my seamstress and did an amazing job

I added the belt at the Reception... DIdn't wear it for the ceremony or CH

Bridesmaid Dresses - David's Bridal - A
I wasn't thrilled with the idea of getting it at David's at first b/c I heard some nightmares, but they were pretty good. Three of my bridesmaids were pregnant so I needed a dress that would fit them. They were very good with helping the girls get new sizes and they came in fast.

she's obviously not pregnant, but all the girls looked great.

Ceremony and Reception - Temple Beth Ahm in Springfield, NJ A++++++++++++++

We had a great experience with this place. I know it's NJ so I don't expect many girls to know of them, but if you're Jewish and planning on getting married in NJ they are THE BEST. Soooo much food, drinks, etc. People raved. They said CH was too much. There were three bars set up and two shot areas. A mojito bar, martini bar, regular bar and some ice shots. Sooo much food to show and the reception ballroom was beautiful.

Band - Platinum of Tri Tone - A++++++++++++++++++++++
The band was a 10 piece band (I think maybe more guys were there). Everyone said they did the best job. I think they're one of the top wedding bands. Kenneth (the band leader) met us several times and got to know us and really pay attention. He played beautiful classical music during the ceremony then jazz at CH and did a great job all night. We told him we were taking dance lessons so they practiced to sound just like Heatwave for our song Always and Forever.

Photographer, Duet - A+++ so far
We had Woo... he came earlier then expected. Romeo was his partner and went to FH's room. My FH said he was sooo funny and the guys took great pics. They were snapping away all night and stayed till the very end when the chairs were going up. Don't have the proofs yet so I'll update then
Just added the proofs in my Album and they came out Amazing...

Hotel, Short Hills Hilton in Short Hills, NJ A++++++++++++
They were great and helpful. Over 55 people stayed at the hotel so they kept me informed of everything. Hooked me up with the suite two nights for free and a suite to take pics in. The buffet breakfast the next day was sooo good. Even though it was Mother's Day they were so acommodating. We had a ton of OOT gift baskets with wine and they delivered all the baskets to every room. Even when people switched rooms they made sure to send it to the right room.

Men's Tux - Men's Wearhouse - A
We have guys from all over so picked Men's Wearhouse. My Sister In Law helped with a discount for some reason, but we were lucky to get it. They don't have a huge selection so I of course picked the most expensive tux... Calvin Klein. There was no problems, all the guys got their tux on time and looked so handsome. We didn't like the color so got all black, but since it was a black tie affair we got handkerchiefs of the bridesmaids dresses to help them stick out.

Hair and Make-up women from Concepts in Queens A++++++
Cara did about 6 of us for hair and another woman for make-up. Can't say her name though. We loved them though and looked beautiful. Also, Cara even helped with my dress. Family friend! They came to the hotel room to help us get ready.

Shoes, Shoe Elegance in Lynbrook - A
got some heels here and they were nice. Not too much to say b/c they're shoes. LOL!

Rings
FH bought the ring in the city at Jewelry row then we got our bands in Aruba on vacation. That was fun. FH wanted to get a platinum band since my E ring was and he's picky, but since they don't sell platinum on the Island the white gold was still beautiful and you can't tell the difference.

Ketubah from Ketubahketubah.com A+++++
went online and picked it out. Very beautiful and they worked with my rabbi and us to get everything 100%. Takes a long time to ship, but we did it early so there was no problems.

Oh... and I give the weather an A+ for being so nice out

He was great. He actually has a big business and does movies, but he did us a favor (not cheap of course, LOL). He had another guy so we captured everything.

Rabbi - Don Webber of NJ
He was SOOO GREAT! Very friendly and really got to know us so the ceremony was fun and interesting.

Dance Lessons, John from Ballroom Dance LI- A++++++++++

He's amazing. We had the best time learning to dance. Everyone should totally try it. Sooo much fun and John is the best

DIY projects... we get an A++++++ Ha Ha
we made the Hotel Gift baskets for 55 people staying at the hotel with personalized wine bottles, water, snacks, etc. Also made the programs. I'll add those pics when we get the proofs.

LOL! Yes... getting a bit confused. I didn't realize how many vendors there are and I left out a bunch. I left out the invitations b/c I wasn't happy with the person at all. They're in NJ anyway. The invites came out beautiful, but she was a pain to work with
