MY 6/24/05 Westbury Manor review! 12th night, Mittermax, Hair Genie

Our Wedding was such a beautiful day! I just love all the vendors I have found on this board, and I couldn't have done it without all your help!
I just figured I should get this started before I start forgetting!

Hall: Westbury Manor! A++
I loved Westbury Manor!!!! It was so beautiful and everyone there treats you like royalty! My Matre'd and assistant were out there to greet us as soon as we pulled up. My MD was Raul and my assitant was Ines. They were both wonderful!!! Raul was soo awesome, DH and I were sad to leave him! He was always so calm and not IN YOUR FACE. He would casually step up to ask us if we needed anything, and at the same time would know to give us space. He was also the one to explain to us when things would be starting and so forth. We loved him and WM!!!

Hair: Jen the Hair Genie A++++
I LOVE Jen!!! She is soo awesome! I totally changed my hairstyle from my trail with her, and it came out exactly how I wanted it. She is such a professional, but fun and crazy at the same time. She (as well as Oksana) are so much fun to be around, you will not want them to leave! She even was doing dishes for my mom because she was waiting for Oksana to finish my make-up! She cleaned off the kitchen table and was washing dishes! I can't believe this girl! She totally goes above and beyond!
Make-up: Oksana A++++
Also totally awesome! I showed her this picture I liked and she copied it to a T!!! My make-up stayed on all night, and I loved how it looked!

Royalty Limo:


Limo: Royalty B+
I am not really sure how to deal with this one! They did arrive ontime- but with a different car than I requested. (the one I wanted the a/c was out, but it was just a different interior, same outside). My drivers were both very friendly and courtious. My only problem was the end of the night. Somehow, no one knew to pick us up. I had told my coordinator that I wanted them to pick us up at the end of the night (we either got that, or a ride to the airport) Since we weren't flying out for a honeymoon, we wanted the ride at the end of the night. During one of our first meetings, she told me some horror story about how a limo from a different company forgot to pick up her bride at the end of the night, and she ended up driving them. I thought when she called my vendors to confirm with them, that this would have been something she confirmed. However, the end of the night rolls around, and I asked her if she knew when my limo was coming. She said 'Well, did you tell them you wanted them to pick you up?' I was shocked. I thought this was something that she was supposed to do. I said that and she said 'Well, I will call them'. So, when she calls them, she told me they said 'It isn't written on her contract (lie, it says it) and someone else called about a ride and when we told them how much they said 'nevermind.' So, I don't know who to believe on this one. I know no one called Royalty about it on my end, so this has me in a bind. This was a real bummer at the end of the night. I was really looking forward to that limo- and I had a bunch of other people that were going to the same hotel that I was supposed to give a ride to. Instead, I had to wait at westbury manor an hour after my reception for my father to drop stuff off at one hotel and then pick me up for the other. Me and my husband had to ride in seperate cars! Moral of the story: Make sure you confirm your ride at the end of the night yourself!

Photographer: 12th Night: A++++

I LOVED 12th night! We had Dominic and Geraldine, and they were both a pleasure to work with. When they arrived, they immediately started shooting me and the girls, and everyone loved them! I had Geraldine for the whole night. She was mainly a photojournalistic photographer, but when I asked her to take certain group shots, she always did so willingly. I can't wait to see all the pictures!!

Videography: Mittermax: A++++
I loved Travis too! He was such a nice guy- and since he is friendly with Dominic, they worked very well together. I forgot he was there sometimes because he wasn't intrusive at all. Can't wait to see the video!

Dress:
Oleg Cassini/David's Bridal A+++
I loved my dress!! It was one I really didn't like at first, but after trying on dress after dress (which to me the started to all look alike) I went back to this one. I am glad that I did! Everyone liked it, and it was fun to wear!
I also had a pretty pleasant experience with Davids. My dress was altered there by Angie, and she did a really great job. If you are getting your dress done there, ask for her because I was talking to another bride there who had to come in to get her dress realtered THREE TIMES!!! So, ask for Angie!

So sorry about the DOC though. It sounds like she added stress instead of taking it away. She's very lucky that you're being so amazingly kind to her in your review.

Absolutely stunning!! I was a St. Aidan's bride and also had my reception at WM!! How funny! Small world! I love the pics on the side of the Church. That was still under construction last year. It opened the week after my wedding. Those are beautiful pics! And you also don't get rushed out if there is a Mass cause you are not blocking the doorway. Congrats!

Edited to add Father Bruno married us also! Do you live around there?

You look beautiful I had Raul and Ines too they were great!!!!!! Could be worse about the ride- the Wingate Inn never had our bridal suite!!!! and it was confirmed over and over again!! I guess sh*t happens no matter what- but you look gorgeous, your DH looks so happy and you had a wonderful time at WM!!!! those memories are the best!!!!
