My 7/29 review-Tall Grass Country Club. W/a few pics

I can't believe I am writing this review. The week of the wedding and my wedding day went by so fast, as soo many people said it would.

Mother Nature:
I could not have asked for a better day in July. It was about 80 degrees, very low humidity and sunny. No rain till about 9 that night and we were already inside by then.

All For You: 10
I have been going here for about a year now for my hair cuts and I love this place. Melissa did my hair the day of the wedding and it was amazing. I have very straight hair, and on my wedding day I had so many curls it was unbelievable. Even the next day my hair was curly.

Paradise Bridal: 8 out of 10
I know there are some on hear who do not like them, and even my MOH refuses to get her dress for her wedding next yr from there, but I had no problems. I found my dress at the other place in Patchogue, negotiated w/Paradise and spent about $400 less there. My dress came in early, and the alterations were done well. We also got the Bridesmaids dresses and tuxes there and they were all discounted.

Castle Entertainment:9 out 10
This company was reccomended by our 1st hall (holbrook cc) and when we switched halls and days they were very accomodating. Great Price, excellent djs (one sometimes was a little difficult to understand), my only problem was they were sometimes difficult to get a hold off.

Blue Sky Video-10 out of 10 so far
Another reccomendation from Holbrook, great small company, you barely realized he was there, but always seemed to be where the action was.

Artistic Images-8out of 10 so far
We had Charlie as our photographer and he was great. Very calming and very funny. He had us laughing the entire time. He was very creative. My only complaint was he did not take some pictures I had wanted. This was partially my fault, but no pic of my invitation, no pic in front of the limo, and I am not sure if he got some pics of the room before anyone was there. I can't wait to see my proofs

Flowes on Broadway: 10
My flowers were amazing. They looked fresh and they lasted from 11am with picures to 12:30am when the wedding was over.

M&V Limo-10!!!
I know there are many complaints about this co, but I love them. The day of the wedding the driver was early and instead of a 12 pass limo they upgraded us to a 14. The driver was great and the limo was beautiful and fully stocked with soda, water, beer and champagne. We also had them pick us up from the hall, drive us to the hotel the next day and pick us up from the airport. Each time they were early and the upgraded us.

TALLGRASS-20!!!
I cannot say enough about how great they were. Tio our Maitre D who was with us at Holbrook was amazing. For weeks before hand, he was there to answer all of my calls and millions of questions. The rehersal went smoothly and Chris from holbrook cc who was our original banquet manager who went to TallGrass, who has now moved to another restuarant kept everyone happy with drinks and laughter. The day of the wedding the place was amazing, it was so beatutiful. Stephanie our bridal attendant helped us out all night. The food looked great, but we were so nervous we barely ate. Everyone has been complimenting us at what a great place it was, how great the food was and about the excellent service. I highly reccomend Tall Grass.

Honeymoon: 4 out 10
El Dorado Royale.
I am not going to say much, because i was very unhappy with our stay there. The place is beautiful, and the dinners were great, but there service was beyond horrible. Everything we asked for took days to get done, or we were told they could not do it. Simple things such as getting additional beverages in the room in the evening could not be done. After 4 if you wanted even water, you had to go down to one of the bars. We asked for extra pillows on Sunday, we got them on Wednesday. MY dh got extremely sick Sunday night from their food and we were told if we want anything even Pepto we would have to payan extra $30 for it to come by taxi from off the resort!!! When we complained there was no apology or even a sincere concern, we were just told to fill out a comment card, . I would not stay here again, and I would not reccomend to any of our friends to go there.

Congrats Heather ---soooooooo happy for you!!! just like my good friends who got bumped from HCC I am glad Tall Grass worked out for you!!! Their weddings are soon too!! Thanks for the review.
