My 9/8/06 Wedding....WESTBURY MANOR...BODY ROCK...ARTISAN...BLOSSOM HEATH FLORIST and more

This is kind of an amazing thing....I mean I didnt really post much on here, but I did read ALOT....I found many useful tips and enjoyed reading all the brides reviews.

Everyone says this but its true...IT GOES SO FAST. I cant believe Im typing a review and its all over already...its kind of bittersweet.

So, w/o any further adieu, my review...(PICS IN ALBUM AND LINK TO PRO PICS ON BOTTOM)



WESTBURY MANOR: A++++++++++++++
There arent enough pluses to give them. WM hands down was the best!!! Ian was my maitre'd and he did an amazing job. He was fun and personalable, it was like having a friend be there. When we got there, Ian and my bridal attendant Jesenia(more on her later) were outside waiting. They had an area outside set up for us with champagne and wine and food...basically whatever we wanted. We got there at about 6 and for over an hour we hung out outside taking pics and just relaxing. Then we went inside and WM started CH alittle earlier. We decided to use the conservatory/library. Good choice!!! It was absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. We added the mash potato bar and it was a huge hit!! Our guests also particuallyenjoyed the carved steak. We had an ice sculpture which was beautiful...everything was great, start to finish. Our guests we amazed at the 7 choice dinner menu..all of which were amazing. As an app, we did the shrimp and asparagus which was awesome. We added the brooklyn sundae bar for dessert which everyone loved and our cake was DELICIOUS....devils food with choc mousse and raspberry with whip cream topping.....everything about WM was SPOT ON....I Could not have asked for a better wedding...the Garden room was beautiful....outside was beautiful, everything perfect!!!

Bridal Attendant at WM: Jesenia A++++++++++++
I can admit when im wrong and thats why Jesenia gets her own category. I always said a BA was a waste; that i didnt want someone following me around like a shadow and that im just a bride, not a celebrity so i dont need someone pampering me every other second....WELL...let me say, I was soooo wrong. I could not have made it through the night w/o her. When i was taking pics, she brought me drinks in between shots.....she brought me a little of everything from CH to bridal suite b/c she knew i didnt want to miss anything. She cleaned my dress for me all night and, when my bustle broke, she pinned it for me everytime it fell until finally she sewed it for me b/c it kept falling was was enabling me from dancing!!! I mean thats impressive, she saved my night b/c Bridal Reflections f***ked up my bustle. Furthermore, she knew what i was drinking all night w/o asking and had a new drink for me evrytime i finished one....she's a really great person, friendly and modest and she really made my night alot easier...and everyone agreed...even my parents noticed how amazing she was....I really cant thank her enough...

BODY ROCK : B+
Body Rock was very good. We had the mini intellegent light system which was nice. Mitch was our MC and he was really cool; my dance floor was cranking all night. I didnt give them an 'A' for a few small reasons...1) we paid for hand outs which i thought were a waste...they gave out like 4 stupid things and it wasnt that great.....2) i said that i wanted alot of interactive musice...ex...electric slide...cha cha slide...etc. They played cha cha slide once b/c my bridal party requested it and that was it...no other dance music was played. Plus i had said i liked 80s musice which they played none of and i made a request which they didnt play.....in Mitchs defense, he did ask us all night long if we were happy but youre really not thinking about all the details during the reception .....thats why we filled out the request sheet AHEAD of time....and oner last thing, the fog machine was a waste. When we were annouced, i missed the arch b/c i couldnt see!!!

ARTISAN: A++++++++
Its been said before but I'll say it again, CHUCK IS THE BEST!!!!! We used Artisan for photo and video and they rocked!!! Chuck is a true professional; he did everything i asked him to and more. I have no doubt the pics will be amazing!!! My whole family loved him; he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Rich did the video and he was equally as great. The 2 of them were worth every cent. Also Linda in their office is a sweetheart and pleasure to deal with. I think anyone who goes to see Chucks work and then doesnt use him is CRAZY!!!! Hands down, hes the best. Artisan and WM made my wedding as perfect as it was.

BLOSSOM HEATH FLORIST: B
I love Peter!!!!! Thats who I dealt with and hes sweet and calming and very fun to deal with. My CPs were GORGEOUS!!!! I absolutely loved them, wouldnt have changed a thing. They didnt get an 'A' b/c the heads of the roses on ALL the guys boutineer(sp?) fell off. Fortunately, i was smart enough to stick a pin in them and reattch them but come on, thats kinda crazy. Also, i was thrilled with the Boks, mine wasnt what i thought and the BMs were sorta small. Thats just my opinion though b/c everyone else seem to think they were perfect.

ALWAYS ON TIME LIMOS: A+++++++++++
I almost forgot Tony!!!! He was as good as artisan and wm....Tony is the greatest......his guys were fun to work with. We had a rolls royce and 2 lincolns and thet were great, The champagne in my car was top of the line...DH and I killed the bottle on the way to WM!!! Plus, we had 3 town cars home and everything was perfect. Tony is the man!!! He made the whole limo thing sooooo easy for me.

CELEBRATION BOUTIQUE: A
I got my invites, favors and matchbooks from them. I dont think they are in business anymore but they were very good...everything came out beautiful and the prices were good.

BRIDAL REFLECTIONS: B+
Would hyave gotten an A if it wasnt for that whole bustle thing. Overall, they were good, especially Amanda. My dress was out of this world and the BM dresses were BEAUTIFUL and fit everyone perfect. I went to the one is Massapequa and had no problems....in fact, they even refunded me for the bustle. I got my veil and headpice from them too and everything was just beautiful. I definately recommend them.

TRI COUNTY: A
I got my jewelry there....wont say too much but everyone complimented it and it was VERY reasonably priced.

COMMACK WEDDING CENTER: F overall...A for MOB dept
My mom got her dress here and she was very pleased. It ws a Jovani and priced well. We didnt have the alterations done there but the women in the MOB dept were very sweet....as for the rest of the store....thats a different story. I originally went there to be fitted for a BM dress for my friends wedding next year and had an AWFUL experience. My mom got her dress though and looked great so i guess thats all that matters.

HAIR MACHINE: A++++
Me, my mom and my whole bridal party got out hair and makeup done there. Leslie, Dawn, Teri, Linda and Michelle are the best!!! Everyone there is nice though. Everyones hair and makeup looked AMAZING and everyone looked different. Im picky and when I brought in a pic of what i wanted, Leslie did it perfect!!! Michelle did all the make up and she is truly talented. I couldnt have been happier with EVERYONES results.

I hope I didnt forget anything....I got my groomsmen gifts at Things Remebered in the mall....guys got a flask and zippo with their initials on one then 'Groomsman 9/8/06' on the other and for the best man we got him an mother of pearl and onyx pocket watch with initials, wedding date and 'best man' on it. We also gave all the guys wallets. As for the girls, they got spoiled. I got them each a tanzanite circle of life pendant from kay jeweler, tanzanite earrings and for my MOH, a crushed diamond bracelet from macys as well as what the other girls got. Ceremony was at St. Chris in Baldwin which is always beautiful...rehearsal was at my parents..MIL catered...Grooms cake from cheesecake factory and walbaums....OH yeah and shoes from Sandys Shoes is massapequa park and I highly recommend....they match perfectly!!! My BM dresses were like a tanzanite with chifon overlay...shimmery and hard to match, but they did and it was beautiful.

Honeymoon: Royal Hideaway..Playa del Carmen , Mexico
Wanna be jealous?? Check out their website...enough said. Amazing place...could not have gone anywhere better.

Guess thats it...overall OUTSTANDING wedding...wish I could do it again!!

PS...Tuxes A+...Mens Wearhouse in Oceanside...they were great!

great review --- we met with Peter at Blossom Heath too -- such a wonderful person (although we did get a better quote from someone else and went with them instead).
