June 24th 2007 was the best day of my life. It was truly amazing!!!!!!!! Things went wrong but that day it didn’t matter because I was marrying the love of my life. Me and DH took many moments to just sit back and look at everything and everyone, and even with doing that, the day still flew by. I really didn’t post much on this website but I definitely read lots of posts and got sooooooo many ideas from all you ladies. When I first got engaged a year and a half ago I was totally and utterly lost, I didn’t know where to begin in the planning process. I don’t think I would have had the “dream” wedding that I did if it wasn’t for this website. Well here it goes…ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Weather A++++++++++++
The weather was absolutely magnificent. I couldn’t have had a better day. The sky was blue, the sun was out, and most importantly (since I’m a hair fanatic) there was noooooo humidity. I was a lucky girl!


Sir Oliver Limousines A+++++++++++++
They were great. We had the Rolls Royce and the Hummer Limo. Both were extremely clean. The drivers were wonderful. They got to the house on time and helped everyone into the limos, especially me with my dress, they made sure that my dress didn’t touch the sides of the doors as I was entering and exiting them. We also forgot some of the extra flowers for the grandparents in the Hummer and the driver came back to drop them off. I also used them for my best friend’s bachellorete party and she used them for her wedding and for my bachellorete party. I highly recommend Sir Oliver.






Invitations A-
Even though I should have, I didn’t research invitations at all. I called up Samantha, the wedding coordinator from the Watermill, and met with her. She is an absolute sweetheart. She showed us hundreds of different invitations and me and DH picked the one that we liked best and ordered it. She says she gets them at discounted prices but we definitely overpaid for them as I found out while looking online after they were ordered.




David’s Bridal A
I was looking for something very plain and simple. I really don’t like the way sequence and beading and “poof” looks on me so I had a real specific vision. When I went in I told the lady that was helping me I don’t like halter’s or strapless, I wanted something with a small cap sleeve or off the shoulder. I also told her that I didn’t want anything on it, no beading or lace or sequences. I felt so bad for this poor lady because she must have looked through every single dress in that store and only found 2 dresses that fit the description of what I was looking for and they both did not fit my body type at all. Finally, she said to try a strapless or a halter. I said no I really don’t like them and she told me that she thinks she has a dress that I would love but it’s a halter. I was adamant, I didn’t want a halter. Well as I was changing back into my clothes she came back with the dress and said that I MUST try it on. Well I gave in and well guess what, I LOVED IT. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be wearing a halter dress to my wedding since I convinced myself that I didn’t like them. Oh yeah the best part of my dress was that it fit perfectly. It only needed a hem and the halter strap needed to be taken in. Another plus about the dress was that it was only $299!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So for all of you ladies that are still looking for dresses, try on EVERY type of dress there it…because you just never know what will look good on.

Bridal Reflections A and then B
As a gift to my bridesmaids, I wanted to buy their dresses. Since it was a gift I wanted to make sure that the dress was going to be something that they would wear again. I decided that the color would be black since that’s a color that almost everyone wears. I ended up picking a tea length black Lazaro dress that all of my bridesmaids looked gorgeous in (they would have looked gorgeous if I picked out a brown paper bag for them to wear because they are all soooooo beautiful). The dresses came in on time and the alterations were done on time. The only problem was that some of my bridesmaids didn’t like the way the dress was altered, and I agree it could have been altered better.

These were the dresses but in black.

Makeup A+
Lucille from Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio did the makeup for me, two of my bridesmaids and my mom and DH’s mom. She was a trooper. She had to be at my house at 4 AM…that’s right 4AM, since the limos were coming at 8AM. She arrived on time and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She did a great job. I loved my makeup and the most important part is that it stayed on all day long.

Hair A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and then infinity added on top of that!
Nicole D’Angio did my hair and three of my bridesmaid’s hair. She is absolutely AMAZING and if you have not booked hair for your wedding please check her out. She also had to be at my house at 4AM but since she is so amazingly awesome she was actually there early (around 3:45AM) to set up. She is a perfectionist and really knows what hairstyle looks best with the shape of your head and face. She did a trial with me the week before the wedding (my fault because I waited till the last possible minute to book a hair person) and showed me many different styles and we finally picked one that we both felt looked the best. Nicole made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day…and I can’t even begin to thank her enough.

Flowers A+ and then B+
Mike from Flower Barn did my flowers. He is very talented and easy to work with. He also works with your budget. All of the flowers were BEAUTIFUL and we got many compliments on them. The only problems that I had were that DH’s boutonniere didn’t have any color to it because the orchid didn’t blossom yet. Also my colors were lavender and white. The flowers that were supposed to be in our centerpieces were only supposed to be lavender and white yet when I went to see the room for the first time there were lavender, white, and pink flowers. I was upset for about 1 second and then I was over it. No one was going to know that I didn’t want pink flowers so I wasn’t about to let that ruin my day. What I had decided to do for the centerpieces were candelabras and then hang a vase of flowers from each arm of the candelabra, that way four people from the table could take flowers home. It worked out really well and everyone loved that they could take the flowers home with them.

Body Rock B
They did a good job. Mostly everyone was dancing but they didn’t play some of the songs that I asked them to play. We also had the percussionist and I felt like he hardly played during the reception. I just felt for the money that we paid and the samples that they showed us that we didn’t get what we expected.

Video A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ray from Timeless Treasures did our video. He has been wonderful to work with and I can’t wait to see the finished product. No one even knew he was there that’s how unobtrusive he was. I strongly recommend Ray!!!!!!!! I will update this once I get the video back.

Old Westbury Gardens A++++++++++++++
They were breathtaking!!! If you don’t mind paying for a place to take pictures I really recommend OWG. We got such beautiful pictures from there. I’m so happy we splurged and decided to have pictures done there. All of the pictures that were taken there have such a beautiful background.





Pictures A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
When we were looking for a photographer I had the exact vision of what my pictures would look like. I fell in love with Jimmy and his work from F I N E A R T. I told him that I wanted my pictures to look timeless, classical, and elegant, and he definitely came through with my vision. I love every single one of my 1600 proofs. I was very specific and told him I wanted MANY candid shots and MANY black and white pictures. Him and his team of two other photographers were so professional and really captured my day perfectly. They got pictures of everything yet you hardly knew that three of them were there taking pictures…they were amazing. I highly recommend F I N E A R T PHOTOGRAPHY and if you need any info please FM.

Watermill A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Watermill and their staff were awesome. The day went so smoothly because of their professionalism. Sean was our BM and he was on top of everything. Kellie was our bridal attendant and she was great. I had cousins coming from Pennsylvania and they got stuck in so much traffic that it took them 6 hours to get to the wedding. They arrived with about 2 hours left in the reception. When they got there with their four little kids, Sean made sure that they each got whatever they wanted. Ten minutes later there were plates of chicken fingers, burgers and french fries on the table. My cousin as well as myself was so grateful that they went above and beyond for them. The cocktail hour and the ceremony were outside and it was beautiful. Every where you looked there were blooming flowers and beautiful trees. I’m sooooooooooo happy I got to have the ceremony outside. The food was delicious even though I hardly got to eat any of it. All Watermill brides you don’t have a thing to worry about.

It was an awesome day you couldnt ask for anything more!!!!!!!!! Me and th DH were happy and honored to be a part of it! I mean c'mon it isnt common that my best friend marries my DHs best friend. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything went perfect and the wedding was a blast! t least at your wedding I could drink alot unlike mine!!!!!!!!
