My Black Tie Wedding at the Ritz Carlton NYC 07-26-08

Ok, so I know that my review is late because I got married on July 26, 2008 but I still wanted to post it for all of the brides out there. I found this site very helpful and I hope this review proves helpful to other bride. If you have any questions about my review please feel from to FM me. ENJOY!!

MY WEDDING OVERALL: A++++++++++(infinite)
I had the most amazing time at our wedding. It was truly a fantasy. All of my vendors were amazing. My bridal party was fabulous and our family was so special, words cannot describe. It was romantic, elegant and glamorous, everything that I dreamed for. The other con is that it goes by way too fast… Enjoy every second of it.

Engagement Party - Snapper Inn, Oakdale NY (A)
We had our engagement party at the Snapper Inn in Long Island. It was in April the year before we got married. It was important for us to have our engagement party because our families did not know one another very well because my husband is from Buffalo NY. Everyone had a great time and we went out after to the Wharf and partied the night away....


Hotel - Hilton Garden Inn, Bohemia NY (A)
Engagement party hotel. They were great and we got our room for free because we had so many out of towners stay at the hotel. Brand new and very clean.


Bridal Shower - Agave NYC (A+)

Wow -- where do I begin. My bridal shower was amazing. My bridal party was so good to me throughout my entire wedding planning process. They outdid themselves on this place. It was so nicely decorated and my mom hired a professional photographer STAKS for the bridal shower. So well worth it because the memories now will last forever.

This place outdid themselves. Even though they are located in the UK they are truly very professional and the invitations came out amazing. Very high end and good quality. My guests were very impressed.

Calligrapher – Wendy Trout (Buffalo NY) (A++)
Wendy was one of my fav vendors. She wrote all of the addresses on the envelopes and also wrote my guests names on taxi cabs that I had as their table cards…. She is amazing. Highly recommend. If you want her info, FM me.






Rehearsal Dinner - SouthwestNY NYC (A+++)
We had our rehearsal dinner at Southwest NY in the city not too far away from the Ritz. It was amazing. We had an open bar and we had the inside and outside of the place which overlooks the water. Here is a link:

Mike was a pleasure to work with. We received a sample of our flowers in April prior to our wedding and we loved it. We even went to the Ritz and did a sample table setting to see how the flowers would look in the room with the linens.

I had a great experience at Priscilla of Boston. The place is very nice and it is not a mad house like Kleinfelds can be. Dress shopping was very fun for me. I think I tried on like over 100 dresses in the city before I 'said yes to the dress'. I picked from the Platinum collection. The dress was truly magical. I loved it so much. I loved this place. I gave my girls the option to choose different dress but in the same material, however they all decided on the same dress. They all looked beautiful. My wedding was black tie so the dresses were perfect.





Grooms and Groomsmen's Tuxedos
We bought my husband’s tux from Hugo Boss. He loved it from the start and still wears it all of the time.

We rented the mens tuxedos from Eisenberg & Eisenberg in Manhattan. They were nice and simple tux's. No problem with the place.

Mike from Skyline was great. He played all of the songs that we requested and they were a hit. Everyone loved the band and was raving about them after the wedding. Also they said “at last” which was the song to our first dance -- so amazing!!

Lighting – Get in Tune Productions A+++++
I worked with Glen from Get in Tune Productions. They did spot lights on all of our centrepieces, plus did a “W” logo on the dance floor for my husband’s last name and all around the room it was red uplighting. There are some pictures of the lighting down below. Glen went out of his way to be helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him.

We got married at the Ritz Carlton in Downtown Manhattan, right on the water. (Battery Park, NY) It was so amazing. We lucked out an mother nature was nice to us as well. The Ritz took care of every detail. The meal was superb. We had a choice of swordfish over Chinese noodles or lobster and filet (surf and turf). The desserts were amazing as well. Our cake was magical. LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED
IT! I want to do it all over again.

I had another shower in Buffalo NY from my husband's family. It was at Shanghi Reds. The place was really nice. The food was great. It was right on the water so we went outside on the deck afterward for drinks in the sun. It was so nice.

Rabbi Jill Hausman and Father John Zeitler (A++) [B/]

Rabbi Jill was very good she and Father John Zeitler (Buffalo NY) made our wedding so special. They referred to themselves as Jack and Jill. :) They are beautiful people and I would highly recommend them as officiants.

Peter from Film Cars was a pleasure to work with and his cars are amazing. So clean and look brand new. We had a 1969 checkered cab and it made our pictures that much more special.

Dynasty Limos - A++

We took our pictures before the wedding in Battery Park, Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO. There are some amazing views from there. We needed transportation for the bridal party to get there. Therefore we rented a Limo Bus from Dynasty Limos. The Limo bus was great and the driver was on time and drove very nice.
