My July 29th Wedding at Chateau La Mer

Our wedding was better than I ever dreamed it would be. Literally, the perfect day! Now that I'm settling into married life I have to post my review because I always found others' reviews so helpful. Here goes nothing!

Mother nature: A+++
Scattered showers were predicted, but it was sunny and 85 degrees all day. Thanks mother nature!

Chateau La Mer: A+++++++++++++++++
Everything at CLM was absolutely perfect. George, Nick and Lou were amazing, as was Monika, our bridal attendant. I once read in someone's CLM review that they felt like the folks at CLM treated them like family the day of the wedding, and I couldn't agree more. Me and DH and our bridal party showed up earlier than they had expected us (DH called Nick on the way to CLM to let him know we'd be there early to take pics) and the staff was ready for us the moment we arrived. The food and the service were impeccable. The compliments are still flowing in. Also, I highly suggest the chocolate fountain...no one has stopped raving about it! Everything about this place is top-notch! Choosing CLM was the first and best decision we made in our planning process.

Photo & Video - Duet: A+++
No proofs yet, but Duet was a dream to work with. Even our guests raved about how professional they were, and how they seemed to always be in the right place at the right time. Looking forward to the results!

DJ - Tommy's Tunes: A++++
Tommy's reputation precedes him. You pay a little extra, but its worth every penny. The party was going all night, with not even a hint of cheesiness. These guys are awesome!

Flowers - Flower Michele: A+++++
What can I say? You've all read the outstanding reviews about Flower Michele. Mine will be no different. John was absolutely wonderful. When we last spoke I told him I'd leave the specifics up to him and to feel free to get creative. I was thrilled when the flowers arrived. My bo-K and the BM bo-K's were exactly what I had envisioned. And the centerpieces were amazing. Absolutely perfect!

Limos - Regency: A++
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect, but they were wonderful. On time, cars nice & clean, courteous drivers. I'd definitely recommend them, and I'd use them again myself.

My gown - Bridal Reflections in Massapequa: A++
I love, love, love my gown. I can't say enough how pleased I was. My dress exceeded my wildest expectations. My mom splurged on this for me, and we both agree that it was so worth it. Everyone at BR was wonderful to work with.

BM dresses - Commack Wedding Center: B+
A positive overall experience. Everyone went on their own to get the alterations, so I cannot rate that part of it.

Invitations - Scarlet Peterson Productions: A++
Maryellen was one of the best vendors I worked with. My invitations were gorgeous. She has a keen sense of what you're looking for, and the results are spectacular, especially for the price!!! Maryellen is also a DOC, and I planned on using her for that and even met with her about it. I had to cancel 2 weeks before the wedding due to no fault of hers, and she was very understanding. I love her!

Make-up - Reena: A++
DH's aunt works for Chanel and does bridal makeup on the side. She was wonderful, I highly recommend her!

Hair - Jessica at LaModa in E. Northport: A+
Jessica has done my hair for weddings in the past. She's a true artist, I love her!

Honeymoon: Sandals Antigua: A
We were supposed to go to El Dorado Royale in the Riviera Maya, but Hurricane Emily hit our hotel so we changed our plans 1 week before the wedding. It was tough finding reservations below the hurricane belt 1 week in advance but Journey Travel in Smithtown came through. Sandy is wonderful to work with. Antigua was beautiful, and Sandals was nice. Overall we had a wonderful time.
