My Oct. 29th wedding: TRIBECA ROOFTOP, VERDI, WILDROSE, ETC

TRIBECA ROOFTOP: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Tribeca Rooftop was my dream location from the start, and I had extremely high expectations - ALL of which were fulfilled. I worked with an AMAZING group of people on this wedding, from out of state (DH and I moved to FL), and they were just wonderful. Tracey at Tribeca is fabulous to work with...

The service at Tribeca was phenomenal... They were amazing all night, and our guests raved about them.

The cocktail hour was fabulous - my favorite food was there - we had two sushi tables, a martini bar, a raw bar (clams, oysters, yummy cooked crab legs, etc), an Italian table, a Dim Sum table, and lots of pass arounds too. The food was amazing. We got so many compliments. One of DH's groomsmen said he doesn't even eat fish and he was eating crab legs and he didn't even know what else the entire time and loving it. His girlfriend was shocked to see him eat it! Also, I must say, the sushi was incredible - and DH and I are VERY picky about sushi, since it's our favorite food. Truly was amazing... The two sushi chefs were busy the whole hour, since the crowd was really loving them.

The place looked beautiful... There were candles all along the windows, and it was so romantic... The views of the city were spellbinding both at sunset and all lit up after dark.

The rooftop was amazing as well - We really lucked out and got a gorgeous crisp and dry fall night... no rain and perfectly clear... We even got so lucky, that there were FIREWORKS outside!!! Lots of guests (and DH and I) went up to the roof and watched them, and it was a perfect, wonderful, special surprise for all of us!

I don't have a single complaint about Tribeca, Food, Service, Atmosphere, Everything turned out even better than what I'd dreamed.

VERDI
A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As you can see, I've already got my proofs from Verdi, and I only got married two weeks ago! They arrived before I even got back from my honeymoon! The pictures are gorgeous. I am going to post as many as I can. I highly recommend Verdi to anyone who can work them into their budget. Mindi and Rich were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with... Mindi had us LAUGHING all night... They are wonderful people who also made it easy for us to plan everything from out of state. Very accomodating, fun and fabulous personalities, and the pictures captured the night perfectly...
I can't say enough about them - they are just amazing.

WILD ROSE VIDEO
SO FAR, THEY ARE WONDERFUL! I don't have the video yet, but the videos I've seen of theirs from other weddings made me cry - DH and I love their work... Also, Bill is so great to work with - another amazing personality. He and his wife are both great great people... Fun, down to earth, and just amazing. I will say more about them once I get the video!

SANTOS LIMOS

I've heard horror stories about limo companies, so I was petrified of hiring the wrong one... but I didn't have a single complaint about the limos either!!!! Both cars were immaculate.... We had a Navigator that very comfortably sat the 14 people in our wedding party... DH and I had a Bentley, which was a beautiful beautiful car. The drivers knew where they were going throughout the confusing downtown area of Manhattan, they were in touch with each other over walkie talkie so that everything was timed perfectly (I was very anal about getting to the Church after everyone else was already inside, and my driver worked it out perfectly through his communication with the other car driver who arrived at the church first), and really, they were just really nice people to work with. I am so happy I chose to use them, and I definitely would recommend them!

I can't say enough about these girls! They are both wonderful... They spent the entire morning on my bridal party and myself, and they are fun to work with, and great at what they do... Everyone looked amazing, and EVERYONE was happy with how they looked... That is the best compliment I can give when you are talking about 8 women if you know what I mean! They satisfied everyone - the hair and makeup looked FABULOUS in person AND on film... Also, Maureen is wonderful with the airbrushing... It looked and felt lighter than regular makeup, and yet it didn't come off all night, even though I cried in it, laughed in it, and well, yea, sweat in it too!

RITZ CARLTON BATTERY PARK -
This is where my bridal party and I got ready on our wedding day, as well as where DH and I spent our first two nights as husband and wife.

The service at this hotel was impeccable. All morning, I called down with requests, and the Ritz delivered everything we needed promptly, right to our door, within only minutes... We needed scissors, then tampons, then a delivery service because I forgot my bra, on and on I can't even remember everything we needed, but they took care of everything.

We had a gorgeous suite with a beautiful view of the statue of liberty in the harbor, a bottle of champagne and ice, and a butler that drew us a bath! Yup, when we got back from the wedding, DH and I walked into the bathroom and there was a hot bubble bath with red rose petals floating all throughout the water... It was just amazing!

this is a picture of the stairs at tribeca rooftop, which lead down into the main reception room - you can see a little of the main room in this picture as well.

the 2nd picture is of DH and his mom during their mother/son dance.

the third picture here is of my parents and sisters - both of my sisters were my MOHs, and they were WONDERFUL.

BRIDAL REFLECTIONS, MASSAPEQUA

This is where my bridesmaids' got their dresses, and though I've heard mixed reviews about them on this site, they were WONDERFUL to me.

In fact, on my wedding morning, I realized I had left my bra on Long Island at DH's mom's house.... I was really upset because, as we all know, the dress is fitted with the bra on, and it's not the same with just any other bra on after that! You have to wear the one you were fitted in! DH's mom was already in the city with her housekeys though, so there was no way that anyone could go back to her house and get it for me. I called Bridal Reflections in a panic, and I was so lucky that they had a record of exactly what bra it was, and had another one on hand. They sold it to me over the phone, and gave me a HEFTY discount on it since I'd already bought one from them and lost it (which was through MY own fault, not theirs)... Then they had it ready for a friend of mine to pick up at the counter in 5 minutes...

In fact, I was happy with my service at Bridal Reflections throughout my engagement.

NYC SWING BAND - UPTOWN SWING

We had a jazz quartet in the cocktail hour, and then 11 pieces for the reception. They sounded AMAZING.

DH and I thought they really were fabulous. they played the exact music we wanted - lots of classics plus lots of modern popular music that you can dance too. I really got so many compliments on them.
They were very interactive with the crowd as well... Followed any requests I'd given them... and were great to work with from booking until the end of the wedding night. I feel so lucky, the music was very important to me!

your pictures are a little small though and it's hard to see the detail.

there's a way to post pictures (without attaching them, and you wont have a sizing problem) and you can post as many as you want into one post. upload your photos to snapfish or the LIW community album (dont use kodakgallery/ofoto). right click on a picture and go to properties. copy the URL in the properties box. once you go to post, click 'insert web image' and paste the URL. repeat this process for as many pictures as you want.
