My overdue 10/12 wedding review

Here is my overdue 10/12 wedding review.

Dress: Commack Wedding Center--Bought my Maggie Sottero dress at a reasonable price. However, they are really busy and alterations were not capped, so I give them a B+

Bridemaids Dresses and All Alterations: Helen's Bridal--EXCELLENT service. The bridesmaid dresses were Bari Jay. Helen's was prompt, always helpful, and the dresses were perfect. I had my dress altered there also. They did a great job, my bustle didn't fall once, and I was really comft. A+++++

Tuxedos: VIP Formals--For the most part, they did a good job. Everything worked out okay, but when FIL picked up his tux the pants were too short and the shoes had holes in them. Also, there were creases in my husband's shirt. A-

Rehearsal Dinner: Portofinos Restaurant--This almost was a disaster. When we got there that evening, they had given our table in the back room away even though they had our reservation. We ended up in the middle of the restaurant. Luckly the service was good and they threw in some free calamari to make up for it. B+

Hair and Makeup: Ulta Salon in Levittown--They did a great job. Farida did both my hair and makeup as well as my MOH. All the girls looked great and my hair didn't move. Plus the price was very reasonable. A+

Flowers: Designer Florals--Sharon is amazing with her sense of colors. Both centerpieces and bouquets were gorgeous. Only problem was that the delivery lady was late to reception hall and cocktail hour flowers were not on tables when the cocktail hour started.
Therefore, I have to give her an A-.

Photo/Video: Duval Photo/Video--Haven't seen my video yet, but love my proofs. Both photo and video guys were outstanding, they were polite, and made sure to get all important shots. I give them an A.

Limos: Cruise Control--They were early for pickups, gave us free upgrades, and sent great people. We used them only for drop up/pick up and they were really reasonable in price. Highly recommended A++++

DJ: Music Unlimited--Up until the day of wedding, I would highly recommend this company. However, night of wedding, the owner who promised if he was not there we would get our money back since he does all the weddings, was not there. The other MC did not even introduce himself until we asked him where Santo was, at which time we were told he had a family emergency. He did a good job, but I was still annoyed at the way it was handled. C+

Ceremony/Reception: Coral House--As some of you know, I was supposed to have a lakeside ceremony, but was one of the brides who was surprised by the dredging of the lake. The Coral House did not tell me about it even though they knew about it when I spoke to them. They did not want to 'upset the brides'. When we got there that day, we were offered the Rooftop Terrace instead. I loved it. The terrace is gorgeous and I got to have my outdoor ceremony. The reception was lovely also. Everyone raved about the food and how good it was. The maitre'd Regina was very comforting and helpful. Overall, I can't rate them high because of the whole dredging incident. I give them a C+.
