MY PICTURES ARE WORKING AGAIN!!! Review- Chateau La Mer, DDE, Visual Image, Jill Harth, Verbena Designs, Bridal Couture of Manhasset

JUST A NOTE, I'M A VERY HARD GRADER! :)
Chateau La Mer- A-
The atmosphere was lovely, the food was great (and everlasting) and the price was amazing. We worked with Nick who really went out of his way to make sure that we got everything we wanted for a fair price. We were able to add a bunch of amenities that we were not sure we would be able to afford because Nick saw how much it meant to us. He remained very patient with us and made me feel like I was the only bride in the world. He kept on top of things throughout the whole night and remained well composed without losing his sense of humor. The hall was beautiful and it was right on the water.
The only negative was that between the time we booked and the time our wedding came around they decided to change the floral porch to palm trees which did not go with the design of the hall at all. Unfortunately they were unable to remove them for our wedding.











DDE- A+
If I could only make one recommendation it would be to use Dr. Dance Entertainment for all of your entertainment needs from now until eternity!!!!!! Ken was AMAZING! We booked the Jazz trio for the cocktail hour, the MC and DJ, the Vocalist, Sax player, and Drummer AND BOY WAS IT WORTH IT!!!! Ken even went out of his way before the wedding to do some research on my favorite singer (popular in Australia) and surprised me by playing one of his songs at the wedding! They are the real thing. Very talented and I feel they truly made my wedding special



Visual Image Photography A-
Dennis really did a great job! We booked him 6 weeks before the wedding after canceling with another company. Dennis did his best to get us up to speed and to make us feel more comfortable after we had been burned. He spent a long time at our initial visit listening to which shots we felt were imperative and he captured each and every one of them beautifully. He was able to make everyone look natural even when posed. Although he showed up 20 minutes late for the ceremony because he got lost, he really made it up by taking hundreds of extra pictures and certain shots that would have cost extra. Even when we went to see our album before it went out to print he inspected each page thoroughly for mistakes.









Verbena Designs A- (for her work) A+ (for dealing with my indecisiveness)
When I first walked into Verbena Designs I didn’t have a great feeling, but Jennifer quickly changed that with her positive attitude, and pure professionalism. She drew up a beautiful contract with me with pictures of all the flowers I would be using, a little description of the flowers, and how much each item would cost. She was also the only flower shop I went to that was able to make my centerpiece vision a reality. Her business partner was able to draw one up for me as I was explaining what I wanted it to look like. She even accommodated me back into her shop 3-4 more times before the wedding to make changes, change the contract, or add things. BOY WAS SHE PATIENT WITH ME.







Royalty Limousines- A
Royalty did a great job. I wanted the Excalibur and the Escalade and they happened to have them. They gave me a decent price, and they were prompt. The drivers were great and the service was as expected (they got me from A to B to C without a problem). I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for any limousines.



Bridal Couture of Manhasset- B
Out of all the bridal shops I went to, none of them jumped out and wowed me. The experience with my dress was fine I wore Eve of Milady, and the designer herself did all of the work to make sure everything came out perfect. My bridesmaids’ dresses were a different story. Apparently, the several calls and explanations in regards to the 2-inch train I wanted on my girls dresses, meant nothing to them. The day of their last fitting all the trains were different lenghts. After a bit of an argument and them telling me there was nothing they could do, they must have fixed it because each train was perfect with the hook and eye to bustle it for the reception. My girls wore Vera Wang and the color was 'Ruby' (even though it looked more bordeau than red).








Jill Harth Cosmetics- A+
Jill is my savior!!! After 3 unsuccessful makeup trials, Jill came to my rescue! She did a comprehensive trial on my skin and really listened to the kind of look I was going for and gave me great suggestions as well. Although she was a bit pricey, SHE WAS WELL WORTH IT!!!! She stayed with me the whole morning of my wedding and even during pictures would call a time out to do a touch up. She is personable, and very talented. I not only would recommend her to anyone, but I now exclusively use her products.





Arthur Murray Dance Studio- A
We used Arthur Murray to take some dance lessons before the big event. We worked very closely with a guy named Patrick who taught us the basics of so many different ballroom styles and even helped us choreograph our own first dance.



Elsa Jewelery- A-
I needed to have a custom ring made for my uniquely shaped engagement ring. Elsa and her team were able to create something truly beautiful for me. They worked with us every step of the way and had us in after the wax was made, after the mold was made, before the diamonds were in, and even held them for us after they were completed but before we were ready to take them home.
