My review 7/13/08 The Fountianhead..added some proofs pic!

Here goes my review! I wish all future brides the best! Hope my review helps everyone, you all have been so helpful to me!

Dress
Bridal Couture of Manhasset
I really had a nice time picking it out there. Darlene helped me a lot some might say she talks too much…she does, but was very helpful throughout the process. My bridesmaids got there dresses there as well, the sizes were huge when they came in but the seamstress Nadia was great! (Request Nadia my Mom had a snob do her dress). After you put the deposit down they hound you for the balance afterward and its only cash or check. That was my only annoyance.


Tux
Men’s Warehouse
Hated them! Three weeks before the wedding one of my GM called me and said the tux I picked was outta stock and won’t be available for my wedding day. I picked another wasn’t that much of a difference BUT when I picked up my kids tux (they are twins) they had a size 12 jacket for one and 14 for the other. They are the same size, their twins! So they told me Friday (wedding was Sunday) to come back Saturday they were overnighting a size 12. Fine. My Hubby picked it up from and brought it home…it was the same one he tried on. I went back there and they said we are all out of size12. I went CRAZY in the store. They were not going to tell my hubby when he picked it up! So they took in the jacket I had to go back and still the shoulders were way too big for him. When I returned them I told them I want a refund they offered $50 buck!! Then after arguing I got $95 back. Meanwhile the tux was $175. So yes, I didn’t like them one bit!!!

Flowers
Arcadia Floral
I absolutely LOVED all my flowers. They delivered on time and were such a pleasure to deal with. They are pricey but worth it! I wanted the orchards but to much $$$ so I went with the callyllies (sp) and I loved them.

Limos
Royalty
I got an Escalade & Hummer limo. My Escalade was ok but when it’s parked blew out hot air…not fun. But it was clean and the driver was nice. As for my hubbys limo NO A/C and the driver had no idea where he was going. My hubby was directing the whole time. The driver was on the phone with the mechanic most of the time. Thank God it wasn’t humid that day!

I can’t even express in words how amazing the guy is. Climbing trees jumping down walls! He was so much fun! I wanted Angelica Glass she comes into my salon but of course she was booked. But I have to say this guy has THE best eye. You can check out some of my photos on his blog under Chris & Claudia wedding. He had 25 pics up so I can see them the day after our wedding. I love this guy!

Little Cigar Factory
I had this as a surprise for my Hubby. It was worth it as soon as he went up to them they said “This is for you” and handed him a bunch of cigars. They put a monogram on the cigar, everyone loved it. They were great!

Feel the Vibe
I LOVED them they were amazing! I also got a drummer and sax player they were great had us play the drums and different instruments. It was hilarious! Tamar Dj’d he was excellent and Edwin MC’d he was so much fun!!! They played all the right music! Also, they had gotten this new really nice DJ booth that was white and changed colors with their lighting so Edwin asked if it was ok if he had his Video guy come to video the wedding I guess for their advertisement, of course I agreed and got a free DVD of our wedding when I came back from my Honeymoon! I wish I knew his name, I’ll find out who did it. He also put a small clip on youtube if you wanna look search Claudia & Chris wedding. I would highly recommend Feel the Vibe to anyone looking for a DJ!

Reverend Tony Gambuzza
He really did a great job with the Ceremony. When we met he had a whole packet of different things to choose from. All he wanted from us was a little summary about each other so he could incorporate it in the ceremony. I didn’t know he was going to read it but he did and it was so sweet to hear what my Hubby wrote about me. I loved it! He was really funny to! At the cocktail hour everyone was saying how great he made the ceremony.

Favors
We donated to the Cancer society in honor of my Mother in law she pasted away a few months before the wedding so I made up cards with her picture on it. My FIL loved it I will post pics of that as soon as I can.
I did get little table card holders, they were little chairs. I will post pictures of that too.

I did a DIY…kinda proud of myself : ) . I found it I think through Martha Stewart. I had the valet put hanging pictures of us saying thank you on the rear view mirrors in the cars. My guest thought it was nice when they were leaving the wedding.

Reception
The Fountainhead in New Rochelle
Everything was amazing. The wait staff did a great job and my Bridal attendant Jasmine was great. Ask for her if you’re getting married there. I didn’t like my matried at all he wasn’t needed because Jasmine took care of everything. Also the salesman I dealt with during the planning process kept on reminding my mother throughout the night to tip the matried. I thought that was extremely rude. He said it quite a few times during the planning process and also during the reception. Not cool. The food was great I found out (one of my guest is a chief) that the chief use to work with him at the Waters Edge. A lot of people were taking food home. They always ask if people want seconds. I didn’t get a chance to look at cocktail hour but from what I heard they had a lot of food. At the end of the night they through in Lemon Ices to hand out to the guest. I was extremely happy with the Fountainhead. For all coming Brides there you will be so happy with that place it’s beautiful!

Honeymoon
We went to Aruba and stayed at Bucuti Beach. Loved it everyone is so nice there. If anyone is going, rent a jeep and go off roading it was so much fun. You have to try the Flying Fish Bone restaurant best food and your feet are in the water as you are eating. Also El Gancho amazing steak and lamb chops.
