My review of Crescent Beach Club, Leli, High Voltage, Father Joe, Bella, etc...

Just got back from the hotel so I thought I would start my review. Everything turned out perfectly. We had a few bad parts, but that’s ok, all weddings do. It was a high wind advisory and rained horribly so my dress got soaked before the wedding. I was a little upset that I couldn’t have the ceremony outside, but around 3pm it turned sunny, so I was able to take pictures outside finally. We also had my aunt collapse right during the bridal party procession. All of my friends are paramedics and athletic trainers, so they assessed her immediately. She ended up being ok, but the ambulance was called and everything for precautionary reasons. Other than that, things were perfect!


Bridesmaid Dresses and My Dress
Lidia’s in Copiague A+++++++++++++++

I can not say enough about how great EVERYBODY at Lidia’s is. I have used them for numerous weddings that I have been in and they have been perfect in every way. They remember everything possible about you, they have really inexpensive dresses, and they will do whatever it takes to make everything be perfect for you. I ordered my dress without every seeing it in person (only on the computer) and they promised to do whatever it takes to make me happy if I ended up not liking it,but I loved it! I HIGHLY recommend them to anybody.

Tuxes
Men’s Wearhouse A

We dealt with the Men’s Wearhouse mostly in Plainview, but also Patchogue and Valley Stream. We had no problems with anything, and the prices were really reasonable. They were helpful at all of the locations. They didn’t have a lot of variety on shoes though. DH had to go to After Hours to rent shoes from them instead.

Invitations
Sweet Nut Hut/Invitation Station A

I dealt with Kathy at the Invitation Station. I knew the exact invitation that I wanted and I went to see her and described it and she pulled the book out immediately and knew where to find it. Her prices were excellent and she sent me a proof within a day and they came in a week. She thought the ink was too light for her liking so she made the company do it all over again, and the second batch came in overnight and were perfect.

Flowers
Bella North Shore Flowers A

I met Cristina at a bridal show and I won a free bouquet from her, so I went to check them out. I loved dealing with her from the beginning! I knew exactly what I wanted, roses and cymbidium orchids, and she did them perfectly. She was excellent to work with and very on top of everything!

Limos
Cruise Control A

I just had a pickup/dropoff from the hotel to the Crescent Beach Club, but the two limos were 15 minutes early and very clean. The drivers were very nice and it was inexpensive. We had to drive on one lane roads where all of the trees were knocked down on the road and he was very calm despite all of the problems we had getting to the reception hall.

Leli Photography - So far A

I had Gary as my photographer and he did a great job. I liked how he had a great personality, yet he wasn’t in your face like some photographers are. He was very discrete about taking the pictures and he knew how much I hate getting my pictures taken, so he was very quick about things and helped me with it as much as possible. I just got back from the hotel and he already sent a lot of proofs to me online. The videographer was the same way – very discrete, yet knew what he should be getting pictures of. They knew how upset I was that I couldn’t have my wedding ceremony outside, so he opened all of the windows in the cocktail hour room and I took pictures in front of them, so it looked like I was outside at least...

DJ
High Voltage Sounds – A

I had Vinny as dj and he was very good. He played all of the songs I asked him to and he did an excellent job with the ceremony music. I had tons of questions throughout the planning process and Vinny was very quick to respond to any questions that I had. All in all, him and his two assistants did great. He did have to leave in the middle of the reception due to an emergency with another wedding, but other than that, High Voltage was great.

Cocktail Hour Musician
Ed Travers A++++++++++++++++++++++

Ed was awesome! He played all of the Jimmy Buffett songs that I wanted him to play and incorporated my DH and my name into all of the songs. The guests LOVED him and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from him! He was great

Officiant
Father Joe A+

Father Joe was great! From the first day we met with him, both him and his wife have been so good to us. I loved how we could personalize the ceremony to what we wanted and all of the guests raved about the ceremony and about Father Joe. He was serious at the serious parts and funny at others and overall he did an excellent job. I would recommend him to anybody.

Favors
Lindt Chocolate A+

We had Lindt Chocolate as our favors. DH is a manager for them and he made the boxes perfectly with personalized ribbons decorating them. I would highly recommend Lindt Chocolate to anybody as a favor.


Rehearsal Dinner
Oak Room at Bethpage Black A

They were great at the Oak Room. We had three waiters for our tables and they let us stay as long as we wanted. The food was excellent and the menu was great. I, along with several other people in the bridal party, am an EXTREMELY picky eater, so they basically made whatever we asked them for as a meal. They didn’t mind at all about that. The restaurant is so pretty looking over the Black Course too.

Reception Hall
Crescent Beach Club A

Everybody was so great at the Beach Club. The minute we walked in there last year, we knew immediatley that was the place for us. It was perfect! From the very beginning of our planning until now, they were always very attentive of ours needs. The views are beautiful, especially the palm trees, and everybody RAVED about the food. We had swordfish, filet mignon, and a chicken dish. The cocktail hour was superb also. Everybody thought that was the meal itself. The cake was also GREAT. I had given them a picture of what I wanted it to look like and it was exactly it. The service was excellent. Our bridal attendant was there with us the whole time and got us anything we wanted. At one point, she even took my shoes for me. The only thing that they missed was our Signature Drinks. They forgot to hand that out, but that’s alright. I also was a little upset about the way the medical emergency was handled. At first, they just came out saying that a guest had collapsed and is now conscious, but they wouldn’t say who it was or if it was a boy or girl. I have one uncle who is going into hospice today due to cancer, so I thought it was him, so I was upset that I had no idea if it was him or not. Once my aunt was escorted out of the ceremony and into the private bathroom where my friends stayed with her, I was not allowed to go in and see her because I started crying and the people at the club didn’t want me to ruin my make up. I didn’t care about my makeup, and I would rather have talked to her myself to make sure that she was fine, but other than that, everything was great and I couldn’t have asked for anything different. The day turned out PERFECT. I think that the pouring rain was a blessing in disguise b/c I would have tried to have the ceremony outside if it wasn’t raining and the guests wouldn’t have liked that. I got all of my pictures in with my palm trees at the end of the day, so I was so happy! I can't thank the people at the Crescent enough!

Just a quick review, nothing too crazy! We're going on our honeymoon in Feb b/c I can't take off of work. Everything was perfect - you have nothing to worry about!! I'll put up pics when I can

They looked perfect!! Thanks so much! My cousin loved how they came out so much that she took them home on the plane to Florida for her beach wedding in March
