Hair and Makeup: Sachico Yanesse - A for the trial; B for the day of

I loved her trial, but was a bit worried about make up. The hair was perfect though; she did couple of different styles and was able to do exactly what I wanted.

As for the day of, she did make up much better then I expected, as for the hair my mom had to guide her. She was nice and came on time, but she misunderstood us that we want more then just her regular package, which in the end caused my aunt to freak out and other things with it. She is very pleasant to work with, but she can’t do symmetrically both sides of the face for make up and same for hair.

Venue: Restaurant Rossiya - B-
The food was great, but the way they acted during the day was bad. They would not provide all of the food for every table. Only our table and my parents table had everything that was on the menu, other tables were missing one of the other dish. They screwed up our entrance and made us wait for over an hour in the lobby before we were finally allowed in and were announced as a husband and wife. Our first toast was skipped, even though we reminded them about it couple of times and they said that everything will be taken care of.

The music was good and the food in its entirety was also good, but the service was horrible, that’s why I gave them a B-. Also, when we asked them to give us everything that was left, all we got back was the cake (which they didn’t serve to people) and all deserts. No salads and no entries even thought there was a lot left.

Yuri came to the site earlier then we did. He was always by my side, but at the same time he was never in the way.

The communications for the final product were done with Jose, who’s been great. He is suggesting everything and helping out as much as he can.

I just got our DVD and it’s amazing. I am so happy that I got him for our video. I started watching it yesterday and the chapters are amazing, the quality is great. I can’t say enough about how great the end product is.

Lonnie came on time and was taking good pictures, or so I thought at the moment. He also brought his assistant (his fiancée) with him, who was also taking pictures.

Communication with Lonnie after the wedding has been great, but I had to ask him at least 100 times to get to me all images that he and his assistant took that day and even after he sent me 3 sets of proofs I am still missing some images. Last time he said that he’ll send me a high definition images, but instead I got proofs again. Images are ranging from 300 kb up to 4 mg. Those are regular images, but he says that those are resolution and that is all that he has. They also missed shots of me throwing the bouquet. There were some semi-professionals and they got better shots of the bouquet toss and me throwing a cake at DH, which really upsets me. No table shots either, even though I specifically asked for them.

Currently he is working on our album, for which I had to pick out pictures and actually arrange them in the correct order, so he won’t screw them up.

Dress and alterations: Bridal Building – Bridal Best (Mori Lee Blue) A+++
I had an amazing experience at the store. They got me a great deal on the dress. The dress came 2 months earlier and alterations were great.

MOB and MIL Dresses: Marina’s Clothing A+
Both my mom and MIL got their dresses there. The selection is interesting and unusual. The sizes are available and you can get the dress right away.

Groom’s suite: Macy’s – B
The suit looked good and fit perfectly, but wrinkled like crazy. You would think that a $700 suite would not do that.

Rings: wwew.e-weddingbands.com - A++++
Bands came within a week from the order date. There was a perfect fit. They looked much better then on pictures. Representative called the next morning after the order was placed to confirm the order and verify address.

Shoes: ShoeBuy.com – A++
I got 2 pairs of shoes from them, but only ended up wearing one. Shoes by Nina. Order came promptly and with out any incidents. The price was great and with coupons became even better.

Invitations: Invitations by Dawn – A
Invitations were great. I had a small mistake when I first received my order, but they gave me a discount on new order, even thought it was my mistake.

Place Cards: Staples – A

Cake: Kiev Bakery – A++++
They made an amazing cake. It not only looked great, but it tastes amazing as well. They made it the shape that I wanted it.

Dance Lessons: Natasha A+++++
She was great. We weren’t even planning on taking dance lessons, but a week before the wedding, but when we were picking out songs with our band, the leader suggested that we use her for our dance. She was very professional, spent a lot of time with us and never took anything extra from us.

Flowers: Flowers by Natasha A++++++
Another great vendor. She was always happy to help. Gave us great price for a state of the art work. Flowers were delivered on time, were fresh and even lasted 2 weeks after the wedding.

Veil: eBay A+++
The veil came very fast and looked great.

Transportation: Romantic Limos in Brooklyn A+++++
Came on time. The limo was very clean and the driver was very professional. Their prices are very reasonable.

Officiant: Rabbi Eli Greenblatt A-
Rabbi performed a good service. The main reason I gave him an A- was because he was supposed to bring a chuppah, but a week before the wedding he told us that if we need one then we’ll have to pay extra for it, even though it was not how we initially agreed, so my parents had to come up with one.

Other than that, he came on time, had a good ceremony.
