My September 4th wedding review at the Vineyard Caterers.

Mother Nature: A+++++++
It was a beautiful day. I could not ask for more. I had blue skies and soft white clouds. It was perfect!!!

LIW:A+
I bumped into this site in February 05. I really don’t post much but I learned so much from this site. There are so many great ideas on this board and I am very thankful.

Invitations: A+
Wedding Center in Commack
I know with all the bad experience that I heard on this board we decided to still check them out. They had so many books to look at and I knew what I wanted which was an Encore Invitation. They came out so beautiful and Doris from the Wedding Center was very helpful.


Hair:A+
Maria Concours D'elegance-LIW vendor
I had two trials with her and both trials I still could not make up my mind. I absolutely loved all my hairstyles. The day of she came right on time and started her magic. My house was chaotic, but she managed to get my hair done just right. She also made sure I ate my bagel. She is very sweet and listen to what you want
.

Makeup:

I had a couple of trials but I could not find the right person for the job. So I did it myself and I did it like in 15 minutes because I was running late. I liked the way it came out.


Wedding Dress and Veil: A+
David’s Bridal, NJ
The reason I went to NJ to get my dress was because My parents were buying my dress and they live in jersey. I ordered my dress in the end of October and received it in the middle of November. No problem with them. The only thing that I did not do was my alterations with them I took it to Phyllis ( gownfind.com)

Phyllis was a pleasure to work with. She is very talented and knows what she is doing. Her prices are very reasonable. Poor Phyllis was asked to make a dress in less than two weeks because my sister in law wanted to be in the wedding again. Phyllis made the dress and it was ready on Saturday. The dress looked exactly like the Barijay dress .
With my dress I asked Phyllis to alter the top of the dress because I wanted a sweetheart neckline instead on straight neckline. It came out beautifully. She also created a beautiful bustle on my dress and veil.

Accessories:

Tuxedos: C
Men’s Warehouse, Patchogue NY & NJ

First of all they screwed up my wedding date. They thought my date was in August. DH went to get measured and he noticed the date was wrong so he had them fix it. My dad went to get measured in Jersey and they asked why he needs a tuxedo when the wedding passed already. My dad had them fix the date. I called to make sure the date was correct and they still had the wrong date!!!!. One of the ring bearers pants were lost and when they finally found it my brother went home to find out that it was not altered. DH father and cousin’s sleeves were too short so they had to go back and get new jackets.
They did fix all the problems and they all did look good but I would never do business with them again.



Flowers:A+

I loved my flowers. Dale is a very sweet lady and a pleasure to work with. She listened to everything I wanted and new my taste. I told her I wanted a full bouquet and that is what I got. My Bridesmaids Bouquet were beautiful and I loved the shades of pink she used. I also asked Dale to make 2 flower arrangements for the arbor. I bought the stands from Patchogue Floral and she was able use them with the flower arrangements.



DJ: A+
Music by Michael: LIW vendor:
Michael was wonderful to work with. He has a helpful planning website were you get to listen to the music and add your do and do not play list. DH does not dance but Michael had him dancing by the end of the night and he enjoyed it.

Officiant: A+
Pastor Michael Cassara-LIW Vendor: We knew when we first met him that he was the right person for the job. We were very comfortable with him. Everyone raved about the ceremony.

Favors: A+
Wine bottles: local liquor store(Holbrook)
The owner of the liquor store gave us a real good price on the wine. We were able to take off the labels and make our own labels with no problem.

Table Numers: DIY
I bought the frames form the dollar store and printed the numbers on my computer and added a clipart to it.


Placecards: DIY
My DH aunt bought the placecards at party city when they were 60% off. The were silver so I sprayed them gold and sponged them with a lighter paint to give it an anitque look. I had DH family help me with it.



Chocolate favors: A+

The chocolates were so yummy and the monogram on the chocolate came out great. We tied the chocolates around the necks of the wine bottles. Everyone loved them

Vineyard Caterers:A+
They went above and beyond with everything. John my maitre’d was the best. The way the set up the tables was so beautiful. My bridal attendant was so nice. The food and cake was so delicious. I still have people telling me how much they loved it. They especially loved that the waiters asked them if they wanted seconds. Cocktail hour had so much food and the display of the food was so creative. The grounds are so beautiful and we took some great pictures.


Photographer:
Our photographer is family friend and wanted to take the pictures at our wedding…that was her special gift to us. She also did our engagement pictures and the proofs from the wedding came out great.
