My wedding review:
It started off great. My hair dresser Francine was right on time at 5:30am and did an amazing job for a great price and also did the hair styles for my SIL and MOH. Then the make up girls came right on time at 7:00 and also did an amazing job. It was Danielle from the bobby brown counter in Macy’s at the Smithaven Mall. and the weather was perfect!!My Photographer Dennis from New Idea’s Photography was awesome! He came right on time also at 9:00am and took a lot of pictures and I thought had great ideas for poses and what not. He was great to deal with and would us him again anytime.
My florist National Wholesale florist. This is where the problems start. The driver was an hour and a half late to my house so I don’t have many pictures with flowers at my house. The driver called my house 3 times because he didn’t know how to follow directions. Then didn’t know where the church was so my uncle had to drive him there. I was so annoyed because he was supposed to be at my house at 9:30 and didn’t get there until almost 11:00. That’s all what his job was….to come to my house and the church. And Ana’s job was to go to the Watermill. Well when we got to the watermill and started taking pictures my uncle comes up to me and says the delivery guy wants to talk to you. I went over there and said can I help you and he goes yeah I’m looking for a tip. I was like WHAT are you kidding me????!!!! You were a 1.5 hours late didn’t know where any of the places were (but he found the watermill fine) and my uncle had to drive you. I said YOU DON’T ASK FOR TIPS THEY ARE EARNED AND TRUST ME YOU DIDN’T EARN ****!! I said there is no way you deserve a tip so get out of my face. I do have to say though the flowers were absolutely gorgeous but there was flowers missing in the centerpieces that I paid for and did not get.
Backing up a little now I get a call at 10:30 from my FH telling my step dad he is at the church and there is a funeral going on so everything will be pushed back ½ hour!! I couldn’t believe it because now that gave us less time to take pics.
For my limo I used Red Carpet Limo. I can’t say enough good things about that company. They were on time and out driver Tommy was amazing! He definitely went above and beyond his job. The owner Mike was always pleasant to talk to and gave me a great price.
DJ was sounds alive entertainment and they also did a great job!
Now we are back to the Watermill. We got there right before the cocktail hour started cause of everything going on and had some problems from the beginning. I wanted to be there for my cocktail hour but we had to take pictures. Our Marta-D was horrible. He was rude and got annoyed when I didn’t follow him right away. He was rude to my bridal party and photographer the whole day and didn’t tell anyone where to go. Then I met the captain. I saw him 1 other time after that and that was it. Needless to say neither one got a tip. Then at the end my husband wanted a family pic and the Marta D jumped in front of the camera yelling they have to leave. They are stiffing me. He moved over a little and my photographer snapped the pic. Also at the last dance my hubby said he wants to dance the last song with his wife and asked the bartender to hold the drinks there and he will be right back. They said no problem. Right after the song he went over there to get our drinks and the whole bar is cleaned and he asks where our drinks are and the bartender says oh I can’t serve you now the wedding is over. It was right after the song was over. The only person that did a great job from the watermill was Kelly my bridal attendant. She catered to us perfectly and got a great tip. Overall I had fun but I should not have been treated the way I was especially spending so much money there. I also was having problems with them a week before the wedding when this lady Loraine that works there said 4 days before the wedding well we just won’t have your wedding here and you will look like the ******* that day. I was so shocked the way I was treated there and would never recommend the Watermill. Yes there food and presentation are awesome but the service was horrible and would never want a bride to deal with what I delt with on my wedding day.

WOW....there was a lot going on that day for you...but it sounds like you had an amazing time besides and I cant wait to see pics!!!!

Wow now thats a shock this is the 1st negative thing ive heard about the Watermill...as a WM bride thats something that hits home too read! I sure hope you go there and talk to a manager and get all probs fixed! Who was your BM there??

So sorry to hear about your problems. I'm a recent WM bride and I was treated like royalty, I can't imagine...I'm sorry. But you should call them to speak to the manager. So frustrating.

I am so sorry to hear about the watermill, I am glad you enjoyed your wedding on top of the rudeness behavior some of your vendors gave you. Can't wait to see pics.

Thanks for posting such an honest review. I can't believe the MD at the Watermill treated you the way he did - sometimes I think these places forget how much money we spend!
I used National Floral too and they were an hour late to my house as well! They also mixed up the flowers and gave me someone else's! What is up with these delivery guys? All they have to do is drive and with MapQuest and GPS, how hard can that be?
Overall though it sounds like you were able to shrug it off and have a spectacular time. Congratulations and enjoy married life!

manager I was dealing with was Bob & Glenn I believe.

There were also some flowers missing in the centerpieces that I paid for. I have to contact her again but I am still a little annoyed so I don't want to blow up at her.

It all started about 4-5 days before. They told me don't give your exact # cause everyone doesn't show then you still have to pay for them. I told them I will pay my garantee which was 185 and pay the rest in cash the day of. They said that is fine. They never told me the # I give to pay a week before has to match the floor plan so when I handed everything in they started bitching. I gave them a bank check for almost 12,000. There were complaining about $861 when they had over $20,000 of my money all ready. I didn't understand the problem. That's when she said all that stuff and said we are trying to br=eat the system and not pay. I kept saying I don't understand what you don't get I said I would pay for the 10 extra people in CASH the day of the wedding. Needless to say I just paid them for the 195 and that forget it. Then the Manager called me the day before and felt bad so they threw in the seat covers for free cause that is usually $4 per person more. It was nice they tried to fix it but the employees are horrible. I will be calling them today.

WOW! I am so sorry that your wedding day had to have jerks in it. I hope you report the catering hall to the Better Business Bureau! They shouldn't get away with that. I will NEVER recommend either vendor to anyone I know. Can't wait to see your pictures though!
