My wedding review 7-13-08 flowerfields, thomas paul, burtons, scpba bagpipes, Davids Bridal, Demetrios, mens wearhouse, heart and soul, Puerto Rico/ Sandals Antigua

Where do I begin to review the best day of my life? LIW helped me so much and so I hope I can help someone too!



Tuxes . . . we got the tuxes from Mens Wearhouse. Everyone HATED them. They messed up 4 of the sizes and people had to go back. They gave my sis a problem because her son has a bigger waist then you would think. They made it so uncomfortable for her to get him fitted. Some guys got hankerchiefs and some didn't. Some were charged $10 more than others.

My dress / headpiece - Demetrios from the Smithhaven Mall (Macys). I loved my dress and headpiece and was so happy with everyone at Macys. Customer service was excellent. They even helped me to pick out jewelry to match. Pictures will be in my album soon!

Bridesmaids/flowergirls dresses - Davids Bridal. I loved these dresses and was very happy with Davids Bridal. Girls ordered dresses from Florida, New Jersey, and 2 places on LI. It was very convenient. They were all very comfortable in the dresses. Only problem, one girl got it altered there and it was soooo expensive! These dresses are in my album.



Flowers - We used Flowers by Burtons and we LOVED them! The flowers for the centerpieces, boks, chuppah, were all so beautiful. They did an amazing job setting them up. I was completely impressed.

Photography - We used Thomas Paul who is AMAZING!!!! We had Thomas 1/2 day and Brian all day. (Someone else too but I forgot his name!) They were all so creative, quick and easy going. Brian was unbelievable with the kids (There were 7 kids ranging in ages from 2-7). He got them all to do whatever he wanted!

Videographer - MotionInc. - They were fantastic and I can't wait to see the video!!!

Music - Heart and Soul. I'm in the middle with them. They did a great job and everyone loved them. However, the played a few songs that I specifically told them not to play. That annoyed me a little. They also didn't play all the songs I requested. I was a little disappointed but after talking to everyone and thinking about the day, they did a great job. People danced the entire time. Also, for the ceremony I asked them to play a song that they thought appropriate for everyone leaving. I asked that it not be anything religious (We had a mixed wedding). They played a jewish song (simen tov/mazel tov) . They are a good band but not the best a following directions.


Bagpipes - We had the suffolk county pba bagpipers play. there were 4 of them and they were incredible. They p[layed during dinner and everyone thoroughly enjoed them.


Flowerfields - WOW!!!!! Everything and everyone was amazing. Delicious food, friendly service, beautiful atmosphere . . . There is so much to say about flowerfields that I need to think about it more and come back to edit this.



Honeymoon -

We started off at the El San Juan in Puerto Rico. It was nice but there were a lot of single people there. We went to the rainforest and the city of Old San Juan and they were very nice.

Then we went to Snadals, Antigua. It was amazing! We got one of the new villas with butler dervice. It was so beautiful! I will post pix soon! The drinks were perfect - not watered down as I heard they might be. The food was very yummy and VERY plentiful.
We spent a lot of time relaxing at the pool and on the beach. We were able to play poolside Bingo, try wind sailing, and go kayaking and snorkeling - all through Sandals. The weather was perfect. There was fun entertainment at night and all of the people we met were so nice! There were a lot of honeymooners there which was pretty cool.

I love your dress! What collection is it in? Also, by any chance, do you know the number in the collection? It's like exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you! My dress is Demetrios. I got it from the Smithhaven mall in Lake Grove. I don't know the number but I can try to find out. :)
